Will lower the bike to £450 if picked up from Oxford Street by Wednesday next week. A great bike in really good condition. Could be split for a lot more; however im off to america from 1st August.
Need this gone as it was meant to go 2 months back!

If it was fixed it'd take it off you until my other bike was finished, would still take it if anyone has a spare fixed wheel in good nick they'd swap?

you do realise all you'd need is a new track cog.
DA track hubs....
this is a bargain.
absolute bargain. -

If it is a freewheel side then I thought you can only go fixed if you locktite the sprocket as you don't have the reverse thread. Correct me if I'm wrong though.......

it is not a freewheel hub.
Its a track hubHubs: Shimano Dura Ace Track HB 7600
do a google search on these and come back later.
it has a bmx style freewheel attached to the track hub threads:A standard single speed BMX style freewheel can be used on the track threads the hub. Because of the stepped down lock ring threads, not as many threads of the freewheel engage the hub threads as they would if it were threaded to an freewheel threads, however, this is not a problem since the same number of threads are sufficient to secure a track cog. The force applied to a freewheel is the same as that applied to a fixed cog of the same size, so the missing threads cause no durability issue. Also, there is never any reverse torque on the threads with a freewheel, so a freewheel actually puts less strain on the threads than a fixed cog does.
from wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flip-flop_hub
all you do is remove the freewheel, put a track cog on, put a track lockring on and its a fixed bike.

Dura Ace 7600 track hubs are either single sided fixed or double sided fixed.
They do not make a freewheel version:
http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=dura+ace+7600+hub&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=PORFTK2hE4WUjAfNxYi2Bw&sa=X&oi=product_result_group&ct=title&resnum=3&ved=0CD4QrQQwAg
So unless they are not DA 7600 hubs, they are fixed with a SS screw on.
the seller may have bought the wheels and does not understand.
However, I am right. -

Salt in the wounds.
I'm going out to wax £400 on strippers and cocaine tonight, I need to numb the pain.
-

Basha, as soon as I get my other ride up you get first dibs.
p.s. About tonight, where abouts will you be going? sounds like fun.......

Sorry for the delayed response, I started early and it's turns out £400 doesn't getyou much of either, so I'm going home, wired, and sexually frustrated. Probably make it back to watch repeats of CSI Miami.
We'll hook something up when u get your new bike!
