Glad you liked them! Will pass your comments on - Lovely to see you the other day btw, how was the ride after your little slip?

It was good to see the two of you. Nice 60 mile ride out into Essex/Herts. Sunny and pleasant. Unlikely that this weekend will be as good.

^is it a record attempt (greatest distance in 24hr on rollers)?
-
• #1262
no, a simulation of what he'll need to achieve every day during his RAAM attempt next year, the mods we've made to the rigs does of course mean we are now setup for such attempts.
12 hour team record here: http://www.goldsprint.com/2010/11/10/world-12-hour-roller-race-record-1968/

James Bowthorpe (Round the world record breaking cyclist)
Not wishing to belittle his might achievements, but isn't Vin Cox the current round the world record breaking cyclist?
-
• #1265
on a technical point, he didn't call him a world record *holding *cyclist, but a world record breaking cyclist. so as long as he has broken a world record before, that's correct i'd say

Fair enough.
They should get Vin Cox into LMNH. Like many a round the world record holding cyclist, he's a thoroughly nice chap.

I was careful to phrase this correctly, "current world record holder" would've been wrong!

I think you guys have forgotten the most important question.
Will he be riding with no hands?
-
• #1269
- will his Mum be there
- will his Mum be there
-
• #1270
Will he be allowed pies and green tea?
-
• #1271
Will mmccarthy be doing the music? If so, I predict that he will abandon early.

Riding Highgate to Stepney Green last Saturday morning, delivering the commuter I'd just built for my daughter (thank you Brother for the frame & seatpost, Mr Bump for the levers, Nigel182 for the grips) when the headset started to unravel on Old Street. So thank you also to LMNH for fixing it, for nothing, with a smile.

Saw him there this morning. He wasn't pedaling! Then he started again.....
Giro highlights not being shown but the exhibition is wonderful. Particularly like Venice in Pink and Ultimo Giro. Sitting here like a sad lonely person waiting for Mrs O.
