  • I'd like to see that.

I reckon it should also have a "choose your rider" option in a sidebar or something which expands when you hover your mouse over it to reveal your choice of 8 fucking retards to show you what you look like on your bike.

  • Change the name.

  • Nice!

You spell grey with an e unless you're from the US though. Or if you're David Gray.

Would be nice if you could choose different frames though.

  • Please remove the word 'fixie' from everything on the website, then you'll have my approval.

  • what, no kickstands?

  • I think it's a cool little site, lose the 'fixie' obviously... The GI/skid patch calculator is pretty cute too...

  • More stem and frame options would be nice, otherwise good stuff

  • gi calc ... seems a little off, doesn't get me my transmission right - tyre size?

  • pure shite

  • why? didn't you find the double spok set up?

  • Haha, guess I'll rethink the name. Fixed gears are not such a big thing over here (Oslo), so I guess we haven't adopted all the do's and dont's :p

The site is not made for anyone, really. Been missing something like this when I've set up my own bikes, so I thought others might have use for it too.

Version 1.2 will most likely have a save jpeg feature, where you get rid of the menu and stuff. Will focus on bars + tapes. Frames maybe in 1.3, it's a bigger job so..

    GI wrong? It's a simple chainring/cog*27.

    Thanks for the replies!

Yea, and btw. I don't mind single speeds at all. I was lazy / made it simpler by not having brakes as an option. Not too hard to picture anyways :)

  • Get a Cinelli MASH frameset up there and you're hit count will go through the roof... Megalolz guaranteed... :]

  • That fixie made me sing this song, which is nice.

    YouTube- Phil Collins - Sussudio

  • Get a Cinelli MASH frameset up there and you're hit count will go through the roof... Megalolz guaranteed... :]

  • like the idea mate

  • that's awesome i was looking for something like that. good job!

would just add a few more frame colours (dark blue!?), fork colours (to match frame), then add a brake lever? stem and bar shape would be nice too!

    overall very good project!

  • Somehow, the hipsters have all missed the irony. Change some colours, and you're nearly all the same.

    *runs, ducks, hides*

  • FG = brakeless = FAIL.

  • Great project. Could be very useful before building a bike - it'd be good to have more colour option in some areas. As mentioned before, a frame option would be good.

    Well executed site.

  • Thanks guys, appreciate it.

    Version 1.2 is up

    Version 1.2 (2010-05-04)

    • Added purple as frame, tyre and Keirin seat color option
    • Added white and white w/ black spokes deep-v wheels
    • Added full color scheme on straight forks
    • Added full color scheme bar tape on bullhorn bars
    • Adjusted menu scipt so submenus won't disappear on part selection
  • I like this!
Excellent time killer like nikeid for bikes.

    Suggestions:

    • Tighter clearances,** esp. rear wheel**
    • Non-maxcrowe sized frame
    • Coloured swept fork
    • Different/shorter stem (see Nitto pearl, jaguar, Cinelli 1a, 1r, 2a)
    • Modern cranks (see Campagnolo Record Pista, Dura-Ace 7710, Sugino 75)
    • Coloured/Chrome Lug
    • Coloured fully wrapped bars or coloured track grips
    • Black "classic" rim
  • getting better but agree with sherms... coloured fork, stem sizes, grip colours.

also frame colours, is it hard to add a few? thinking navy blue and dark green would be nice...

    thx for doing this!!

  • Good suggestion list, sherms. Will add some of those on 1.3.

Navy blue en dark green is on the to do list aswell. Frame colors is not that hard to add, but I like to add matching options as well and then it gets time consuming.

Glad to see people are using it. Makes it worth the hours.

  • Nice, Like it.

  • i know..yes its fucking beautiful...yours is shit. tried to go with this old gradually going to new style of building my bicycle. i have included a flip flop hub ( you cant see it very well there)...(but its there) and also i have a chopped brooks saddle, as you know..im getting old, need one for mi piles. included a nice old wheel off a falcon racer i found in a skip, got the wire brush on it..good as new, and to finish it off i had the lovely paint job by my grandma
