Beginners Polo

Naomi, Poots, Fran, Io, Maddie, anybody else...there should be a ladies polo session on Weds if we get six. Check the Ladies Polo thread!

Is ladies drinks on Weds so no can do...and isn't there Souths Polo at Newt on Weds eve?

Hi, both Jess and I are going to the Canterbury Open this weekend, so I'm not sure if there will be any volunteers to run it.

Westway is indeed awesome but such a pain in the ass to get home from - and I really don't fancy 15 miles on my polo bike.

Oh well, can always do some local solo polo - and the week yet is early...

You can get the train home afterwards.

Or just come to souths, once you come you'll understand there's nothing to be alscared of! Just ask Fi.

Also spoke to beagle he's up for turning up to the Saturday session.

+1 Souths is very relaxed and patient with beginners! I went straight there as a newbie.

hey Poots, i'm up for meeting East on the weekend if you want company- we can practice passing and shooting and messing. I have a mallet and a Franklin street hockey ball.

I am still waiting for a small chainring to arrive though. i hope it does by the weekend (i don't have a freewheel hub though but i have a gigantic fixed sprocket so maybe we can try if the chainring arrives by the weekend)... Anyway, can i private message you my number - i can't be checking the forum very often

hello, how was the north? yep always bike building - first potential polo bike is a Charge Plug (i was going to sell the frame but decided to wack some forks -waiting for the post for a tiny chainring - we can test ride it (hopefully) soon. Another frame waiting.... so yes! let's!

Ha! I didn't think he was serious when he said that, but I guess maybe he was... Perhaps we could lure him to a practice under the pretense of dropping it off and them trick him into playing a few games. The rest will be polo history...

Also, I was thinking maybe we should split this into 2 threads for North and South a la Wests so it becomes a little less confusing? We designated people responsible for North and South beginners in the last meeting and it would be good to find set days soon and get some flyers out with the information on!
