Beginners Polo

How about tomorrow? Are we doing the Mallet workshop? I'm definitely gonna be in tomorrow night, Mallet workshop or not. Still no suitable bike here. Hopefully a mallet if someone can bring pipes and bolts. I can bring tools as I said.

At the moment, you might be the only person in need of making a Mallet, so I'd say use one of the spare one if you can wait for another week or so. I still haven't gotten round ordering the black pipe and I am poping down to Cleckenwell Screws for some allen key bolts on Wed that should be better for the dowel method. So I won't be making any tomorrow. I could give you some yellow stuff to make your own during the week if you don't want to wait.

So I'm not seeing 6 for tonight, and I'm certainly not seeing 6 with polo bikes... should be just head over to Newington instead?

I'm not sure Newington will be on, only 2 of us posted in the thread.

Ok, I really want to play polo today, I'll be rolling around newt from 6.15 or so. If there are three or more others willing to play but only in Peckham I can get there for a bit after 7.

Keen, but not 100% sure for the Monday special (work crap). I'm assuming Peckham 'cos there hasn't been a general thumbs-up among beginners for the suggested one-night-only move on Newt. I'd be happy with either.

I'm backing out, not worth a trip south in the rain if there's no polo after all. I expect to see everyone in full force at beginner's tomorrow, though.

I don't think we're always planning on playing Monday too, but I definietly want to play tonight as I can't do tomorrow anymore.

peckham?

Just to clarify beginners play at Peckham carpark on Tues from about 7ish. Today was a one off session a few of us felt like doing while watching Hells Belles over the weekend, but sadly half of us couldn't make it in the end, hence the plan of joining forces at newt. Beginners is not at Newington nor on Monday. So yes tomorrow at Peckham business as usual.

Alrighty then, new double brake lever is on and ready to go, along with some new gloves. I have mallets. I have balls. The polo boombox might even be making an appearance. Hopefully we'll have lots of new people who saw the ladies at the weekend coming along for the shits and giggles.

Nah, I had it on for a bit but short pull just wasn't working. Deore brake lever + london mod + bolt, hacksaw, drill = ridiculously sharp braking. Pivot turns ftw.

Front brake only ftw ;)
