  • Did anyone who didn't stay till the end tonight pick up my park tool allen keys set?? It was gone when we left... :-(

  • Oops, sorry, just found 2 in my bag, I must have picked your one up when I was replacing my brakes.

Sorry, let me know how I can get it back to you.

  • Cool, are you gonna be at newington tomorrow? Could pop round after work (between 6-7), otherwise can you keep them till next week? Cheers :-)

  • Yeah, I'll go to Newington tomorrow

  • Will see you there then. Thanks.

  • Last night was a lot of fun. Cheers All.

Oops, totally forgot to pack the wheel during the brownie fiasco, will bring next week, sorry.

Thanks to everyone who bought some cake. I'm calling last night a practice run, bigger and better next week!

  • Did all the cakes sell?

  • Nope, 3 of yours left, and I've got that whole second batch that were still cooling off at home last night. I've brought them all with me today, will stop by Newt on the way home for round two.

  • Good work, Cazza... See ya later...

BTW Did you get your head off Joni?

  • Yep, thanks for passing it along. Hopefully getting a new pole to make a brand new mallet with it, can you post the link you used for making my current one?

  • I didn't make your one like that, Brendan made that one while I stood watching... Here are Joel's instructions but you may have a problem as the 3PMH heads are pre-drilled for the shaft, my shaft was cut too thick so I had to go through all kinds of shit to make the hole bigger (no pillar drill, y'see)... If you don't cut too much off the end of your pole you'll probably be fine, just something to bear in mind... I have some spare 100mm M6 countersunk bolts/nuts, yours for a beer... I've got an M6 rod you can borrow too...

Caroline, if you are using M6, you'll want to make a 13.5mm hole in the top, and 5mm hole in the bottom, and then force the pole through. The point you cut the pole depends on where the nut is sitting, and how long your bolt is (mine are 100mm like Joe)

I can lend you the 13.5mm drill bit if you like, or if you give me the head I'll sort it out for you.

No worries, mate. Is there any chance I could pop round to pick the wheel up? Just that I am planning of building another polo bike this weekend (the one I have now is toooo big), and I might not be able to make it next week.

    The brownie was fantastic!!!

  • Here are the 3pmh instructions, really easy except for the purple heads didn't come with any fittings annoyingly.
