It's early spring (dafodils are blooming!) If anyone is upgrading their bikes/equipments, some cheap(ish) bits:
Stem + Risers combo - Truativ Hussefelt 40mm risers + stubby stem, both oversized - 29.95
Cranks + BB - External bearing type, comes with 32/22T chainring hence you can either go micro drive or =/>20T freewheel/sprocket for a low 40's GI - 59.95
Rear hub - Halo 48H cassette hub, helps with the chain line issue as you have 9 slots to place your rear cog to get it inline with the front, 135mm, QR, White or Gold - 30.00

I am after some Deore/DeoreLX cranks in a 170mm square taper affair. Let me know if anything turns up. The 175's are killing me on quick turns.

what about getting beginners to come to newt tonight? Heythrop vs BBB are playing and could be a good example for them to see a team that is fairly new, playing league games..? Plus it's such a lovely eve.

Bike complete, work not, so no polo for me, and there's pancakes to be eaten. Pan. Cakes.
(cycling on the roads on 49GI is bizarre #polobikediscovery)

Commute on it and you'll see that your bike control improves quite a lot. Might be quite daunting at first, but once you have made it a routine, it becomes 2nd nature and the ride doesnt seem that long afterall. Sprint then freewheel then sprint, swerve to avoid potholes etc. polo training on the road :) 43GI on mine and loving it, will be dropping it close to 40 once I have my new cranks.

it means that for this week, we might move to the newington court on harper road. combined tuesday beginners with the experienced crowd. it's outdoors and floodlit. there are 2 courts next to each other if we have enough people for two games at once
Size wise, It'd say 49cmish? It can fit 5ft 5 girl on easy enough, so it's not exactly huge... Found some grips earlier, so that's all sorted...
