I will be popping into central at 4-ish and wont be able to check my messages hence will be good if someone could send me a text at 07503274175 and let me know if it's happening or not. Cut-off for me appearing at Peckham is 5.30 hence pretty much appreciated if someone could let me know about it. Will be at Newt for solo-polo which is perfectly placed between NE and Peckham, if I hear nothing by 5.30 then I will be shooting up to NE. Will pop Glenn a message who I know has been quite keen to play and was pretty much a weekly fixture before Peckham went into hibernation.

she should try to borrow anyone's small MTB (fine for a beginner with no modifications). for first few sessions. not worth putting something together until she gets into it

Joni: Havent seen the loaner for a bit hence can't really remember how it is set up. If it is currently run on single brake setup, I will search through the parts bin and provide the bits for the right hand lever and calipers/v-brake so the bike can be used for either lefty or right handed players. Actually if the bike is currently with V brakes, it could be a simple lever swap, i.e. demount the noodle, remove the cable from left lever and pop onto right lever.

Lefty win is my opinion, find it quite intimidating playing a lefty and a lefty in a team kinda provides another dimension to the game!

As I said, I've spoken to her and met her in person. She's not a beginner and her bike will be arriving shortly.
She can borrow Dean's I'm sure when he's back, or we can move the lever to the other side on the loaner when I've had time to sort the wheel. This doesn't help her for tonight however.

Thank you for all!Im left handed but I play right handed, theres quite a few that do this. I read somewhere (i think on an american polo website) that you had to hold the mallet with your right hand, so started playing that way... I couldn't imagine playing the other way now. The way I look at is im using my stronger hand / arm to control bike, picking up a mallet was new for me in either hand so i thought i might aswell use my better hand for the bike. Thats me though, do whatever suits... downside i don't utilise my lefty bullshit capabilities / plus side i dont utilise my lefty bullshit capabilities
