Don't worry about my straps for awhile. After tonight I won't be playing until around the 23rd of Nov.

In other news; I have decided not to struggle trying to do too much next year and think I better get into Polo whilst still able to heal from the injuries it creates. Buying a roadbike can wait until midlife crisis and old decrepid body.
Besides, my discount kicked in at work and after I've built the steed I will probably get me some of these: http://www2.pocsports.com/products/showproduct.asp?category=20-Bike&id=20340

PCP ce soir?
Is it a bad idea to play without brakes? I've got my bike all set up, and I really want to give it a go, but still need a 65mm side-pull. (Picked up one from Recycle on the weekend but it was too long)

Can you stop confidently (one handed) brakeless? If the answer is yes then go for it. Otherwise maybe a solo polo session would be better/safer.

• #1163
Or sit in goal. :)
-
• #1164
I think I should be ok stopping - although that reminds me - I also need to take the flats off and pop some SPDs on.
Sitting in goal might be a good option :)

Or getting a brake ;)

I'm in tonite! Wicksie, could you bring a mallet for me please?
-
• #1167
Yep, will load up with mallets.
So am I right in thinking no one needs the loaner?Let me know if you do else I won't bring it.

• #1168
I've been bullying someone to come, i will contact her and let you know if she needs it. If I don't get back to you, she doesn't. Me and Joe have fairly useable bikes.

Bullying! The best way into bike polo..

Can I have my £10 tonight?

Joseph needs a loaner mallet too, since giving it to someone to practice on solo... I know we kept that one for far too long and it kinda became his, but I don't know when he will get around to making one tbh.
I'm making a new one for myself, but was gonna recycle the head.... If I can get some pipe, I'll give my old one to him and build me up a new one from scratch.
