  • and then kick their doors in!

  • haha, yeah.

I wouldn't have the balls to talk to them. I'd just keep keying their car till the notice then leg it

  • So who the fuck does that type of shit? ASBOs? Chavs? Everybody young and not on a cycle?

Sounds to me like you fuckers have already had a few too many of those instances. Have to say I like the paint stripper idea, although I'd think with their Vauxhall Novas they couldn't care less, except for maybe the ones featured on the cover of Max Power or Redline.

  • I had one of these last year. I'm a pretty passive and gentle sort of bloke who avoids confrontation most of the time. But sometimes the red mist just decends and when a guy in a van actively swerved at me following a mild exchange of hand signals on Edgeware Rd a while back I fucking lost it. Swear to Tynan i nearly threw my bike through his windscreen. I was standing over his bonnet, screaming, spitting and shaking with rage. If i'd had a d-lock on me at the time I'm pretty sure his windows would have been history. A passer by steered me away from what i was apparently about to do (I was wielding my bike ready to throw it and screaming "you stay away from me!"). Not proud of it either, but there's something about that deliberate and potentially murderous intent that can flip you over to the "fight" side of fight or flight. I like to think i'd react in more of a PaulR kinda way these days...

    Just glad you're okay dude.

Oh, and to all the people suggesting a cheeky assault followed by a jaunty excape up a one-way street...what makes you think the kind of people who go about pushing cyclists of their bikes for fun, getting out of their cars in full public view to beat up innocent cyclists and carrying knives aren't going to make an illegal left turn in order to get you alone in a quiet alleyway when you've just kicked their car?

I'd think twice about that strategy if I were you.

    Be safe kids!

  • Fuck them the cunts, I would not be ashamed of doing that, I would be ashamed of doing nothing, they are lucky you targeted their car and not their teeth.

    this.

the police should have seen that pushing someone off their bike is the aggressive and dangerous act - and arrested them for assult rather then threatening the victim.

Good point, but when there's traffic, you're gone.

  • There's an estate full of scumbags near there. Two of them tried to fucking kill me a couple of years ago

  • dooks, i don't propagate this behavior, merely tell whot happened. i, too, doubt these methods better their future approach to cyclists, how ever, i do believe the odd youngster who giggles as they do this, might as well find it not funny to face actual consequences and further down the line decide against similar action.

i don't really know how to do a full blown psycho analysis on the spot to tell one from the other type, so i rely purely on instinct and, yes, a great deal of luck.

  • More killing, less talking.
