It's cos london has too many players and not enough courts.
I think emmet should quit polo for the greater good of london's standard.

+1 he's a polo whore, he plays everywhere.
-
• #129
and he doesn't pass.

yes, and not passing is not going to help him progress his game either..
;-)

• #131
And he's either too perky, or too down. No fucking stability with that guy.
-
• #132
he's been a bit better since I fucked his face up though.
-
• #133
+1, good work snoops
-
• #134
Yeah, it gave him a real boost.
-
• #135
ahh, but without emmet, we'd need to get Dale back playing regularly so we have someone to take the mickey out of...
hmmmm! -

Dale was at Downham last weekend, and he actually suckered someone into a conversation about spokes. It was like he's never went on hiatus.

He scored an absolutely cracking goal or two, as well.

stop the obscure cultural references emmet, we know about the squat, we get it.
-
• #140
It is hardly obscure. He was at Glastonbury the year before last.

Ok, so it seems as though if we were going to 2 divisions (assuming that we can get 20 teams), the preferred option so far (though not a consensus at all) would be to split into 2, with odds & evens finishers from this league in either division.
That would then allow a play-off day - 4 teams from each division? Nice combination of league play, knock-out play & the opportunity to play teams from the other division?
Any other voices that we haven't heard from yet want to express an opinion?

this has only been one mornings discussion, i think people often mellow to different ideas as time passes.
maybe give it a few more days before wording a poll, some (lucky) people probably haven't even seen this thread.

Not that I am (currently) a polo player, so this has nothing to do with me, but I'm just interested in how many league games each team currently plays, and how many you would be looking to play?
-
• #149
This season, each team had one fixture with every other team (17 teams total, so 16 fixtures) which was made up of 3 games. So 16x3 = 48 games over 16 fixtures.

There's currently 17 teams in the league. So 16 fixtures of 3 games per fixture.
London teams have always been behind their Euro counterparts.
