Haha - awesome. That’s a happy dog.

Cuddly cattle dog. He’s definitely got sweeter with age, even if he is still horrible to other dogs.

My mates Malinois visited our allotment today. He’s a slightly unhinged rescue/ex security dog.
He’s a good boy but missed some friendly socialisation as a pup and a bit jumpy/defensive.
You wouldn’t want to make the mistake of breaking into his house.Murphy.

The grey on his muzzle in the middle pic makes him look like a distinguished Senior Dog.

We took Rupert away for a long weekend over Easter to the in-laws and he took it all in his stride. Was worried about the change of routine but seemed to love the new sights and smells.

He’s 7ish I think. Don’t know anything about how the breed ages but he appears to be still in his prime/hard as nails.

Took the big idiot to Scotland and the lakes. In hindsight 2.5 weeks away with 30+ hours in the car and 6 different places to stay was asking a lot of an 8.5 month old pup. He was generally great and really pleased with his resilience and the fact his training held up, but a few stressful nights towards the end as he got himself wound up and woofed at the slightest noise all through the night. He was also delighted to be home yesterday. I think we're all looking forward to settling back into our routines and familiar places now. Still, worth it for many of our best walks ever and he's getting good at photo ops 😂

You should read up on the ones they used to find those young kids who were lost in the air-crash in the Colombian rainforest a couple of years back - proper hero dogs.
Our Chinese rescue half-malinois, half-border collie is 11, grey in the muzzle and slowing down a little, but is still very fit, active and a very effective head of security for the household.

Looks great! I'm off to the Lake District for a week with my family and their two dogs in a couple of months. Crumpet is going to be absolutely feral by the time we get back.

Crumpet has the same ball. Her favourite game is to kick it under the sofa, whine until we fish it out for her then immediately kick it under the sofa again.

Lush! If you're going anywhere near Eskdale in the western lakes I can share some great spots for offlead walking, as otherwise with so many sheep around you can end up being onlead for much of the time.....

Amazing pics. The one with two humans and the cocked ear is genuinely funny.

I actually have no idea where exactly we're going! I imagine there'll be a lot of that in the area though. One of my mum's dog's is a rural terrorist. Will probably be on the lead most of the time to prevent her chasing anything with a pulse, eating anything that doesn't anymore and rolling in anything that never did.

We took Dolly (Jack a Bee, clown like ) to the beach, she is an arsehole.
(Don’t trust the date stamps, Liz’s camera makes up stuff)

I think the one on the lake is hilarious, too. All good pictures.

Well, I thoroughly recommend 'Giggle Alley' in Eskdale Green for off-lead exploring. It's an old ornamental japanese garden that has fallen into a charming state of ruin and we loved it for a good hour exploring various bits without the stress of whether there would be a sheep around the next corner. He did, however, find what I think was an entire ribcage and delighted in playing with it so maybe sheep do get in there and we were just lucky. The pic upthread of me and pup standing on the top of a rocky outcrop was taken in there.

Ha, ours is the same.
Is perfectly capable of getting under the furniture, often found with only his back legs poking out.
However, losing a ball under there mans he will whine until one of his servants retrieve it. -

Does anyone’s dog have “moods” my dog is normally fairly relaxed except when we get any delivers. But since being groomed yesterday he’s super hyped. No change in food or anything like that.
-

For sure, especially when younger. My ~9 month old pup can be a moody/hyper bastard at times, sweetness and light at others. Two things I would say - changes in mood/behaviour can be linked to health/physical conditions so I'd want to keep an eye on anything significantly beyond the usual behavioural range. Secondly, and this could be nonsense, but I saw somewhere on instagram that their dog had a really pronounced reaction to the installation of a smart meter so maybe I'd think if anything environmental had changed that could be impacting them.

No smart meters here. We’ve had a change in the garden so there are a lot more flowers than previously.
He’s about 11-12
He drank a very strong cup of team once that is left on the floor and he was wired for hours a while ago, but nothing like that’s happened.
His diet is very consistent and quite boring. We do give him a green lipped muscle supplement for joints but that’s the only new-ish thing.
He’s also quite vocal at the moment, lots of barking and chuntering.
Visted with my youngest for two days, went through basic commands, lead walking, recall and some bonding time.
Does not like to fetch a ball… :-)
