• Me and the Mrs used to volunteer at a GSD rescue - the variation in size was amazing!

  • Odies pretty small though. 16.5kg at 7 months. I don’t reckon he’ll get bigger than 20kg. Also his ears look almost spaniel-esque. They’re like someone took all the cartilage out of gsd ears, but loads fluffier. I even spoke to the vet in case he had some sort of deficiency, but she seemed to think he’s fine.

  • Why do they want the photo?

So they can just guess and not bother with the test.

Quoting this for the lols in the future

  • Ha! Yeah he might be a direwolf in a month :-D

One of the big conversations we had before agreeing to take him was the potential size. We'd always said we wanted something more medium-sized than a GSD and we were a bit nervous about landing ourself with a potentially large dog. As much as i'd prepared myself for having a large dog, I'm quietly happy he's stayed relatively small.

  • Not quite got the hang of the Aerobie yet

  • Just got followed/stalked all the way down the road by the local fox. Mars was entirely unbothered and they had an occasional stare off

Not sure why it looks like it’s been fitted with neons

  • they're up to something, crafty little fuckers.

  • With their snazzy light-up shoes

  • SE13? There’s loads round there. They used to shit in our garden regularly.

  • Nah E5. Apparently Mars went a bit feral at the one in LA lights later on in the evening so will see if we continue to get followed

  • Crumpet's still getting the hang of beds. Taken shortly before she somehow managed to get wedged under the arm chair.

Edit: to be clear, the object in the bottom right corner of the frame is a Kong...

  • Odies just been lolling on his back on the kitchen floor while I’ve been cooking, but I couldn’t get a decent photo as he’s such a low contrast dog. So here he is playing with my youngest, for some low-hanging fruit cute points.

  • Had some great developments for us recently: my wife’s best friend and her husband (who I get on well with) are moving in round the corner, plus they’re taking on his mums new puppy (she fosters kids and various timings of things hasn’t really worked out well). Odie met Scampi (4 month old lurcher/beddington) for the second time today and they’re already best friends/mortal enemies.

(Please excuse the crocs - my garden shoes, and the absolute state of my patio which is going in the bin soon)
