Also, my friend is not around at the moment, I won't be able to put picture of the mixte frame bike before wednesday, sorry...

From memory it's something like this (I mean in terms of componments, style, etc...), but it is light metallic blue if I remember well...

  • Hi!

My friend finally send me pictures of her bikes... Not great picture, and considering it took days to get them, I am not very optimistic if you need to see more detail... Sorry about that... Best thing to do I guess is to see the bike in the flesh...

  • Have you still got number 2, the frame????
    thanks buddy

  • 4th dibs on mudguards if they resurface

  • Heh. Curious bike. Is that a single chainring front, single rear friction shifter on the stem? Where is it? I have a friend in Clapham who's looking for a bike at the moment.

  • Dibs or maybe second dibs 7.) 3 ttt stem

    dibs 1 pair short mudguards

Selling a very similar (if not the same) stem, if anyones still wants one. PM me or check my post.

  • Is number 6 the stem bar combo still available or did it get sold in the end?

  • Sorry everybody, I have a bit forgotten that thread for the last week, I was a bit busy with the Tweed Run, etc... Answers to latest query below, and I have updated the first post too...

Have you still got number 2, the frame????
    thanks buddy

Yes, the frame is still available, and price is now £7 as I had to use the seat post for another bike...

4th dibs on mudguards if they resurface

These mudgards have been a bit complicated, a lot of people have pmed me about them, then we could not find a way to meet, people could not come to the drinks, I also had to say no to some people because I had reserved them for other I could not meet at the end, sorry for them, I lost track of it since, and I did not pmed to let them know it was available again... To avoid this from now I am changing the way of doing this: these are for free, so, it is pick-up only from South or South East drink, I will not bother doing any other arrangment. PM me on the day of these drinks, I have them at work, and I will drop them on my way home at the drinks if I can (it is unlikely that I would not be able to do that, in general, but tonight I won't be going thru South East drinks, sorry)

Please PM me if you are interested and I will give you my friend's email, so you can deal with her, Clapham is not far from her I think.

    Yes this is gone.

Sorry again for delay in replying!

I'd happily swap the beater frame for a campagnolo threaded rear axle in decent condition...

  • Since nobody wants my beater frame, I will just add some more stuff for sale in this thread maybe...

Due to changing flat soon, I am getting rid of stuff I won't use or can't stock anymore.

I have a pair of Tannoy speakers. They are DC200 (DC stands for Dual Concentric as you all know). Nothing posh like the famous Tannoy Gold monitor, but a really decent piece of equipment. Also, instead of the original shoe box, these have been modified from the previous owner into a MOASSIVE speaker cabinet, very heavy, that gives the sound another dimension, especially a very well "settled" bass that fill the room comfortably without the horrible feeling of an over loaded bass you can hear in some tunned car, don't know if I make myself very clear... I don't speak currently the HiFi jargon... Anyway, I never heard these speaker in their original cabinet, but these sound really really good and natural sound, and, really good point too, despite the big size of the dish, they accomodate well a smaller room, when some large speakers do need a big room. Finally, they don't require a necessarely high wattage to work and can be drived very easily, I used them with amplifiers like a Creek 4040 (2X25 watts I think) and it was real good. Only reason I do not keep them is because of the lack of space. My current speakers are more compact, but more delicate to feed and to date I have not find the right amplifier for them, sound is not as good as it could be.
The cabinet as I said is DIY from previous owner, and clearly he was no joiner, and the finish is a bit rough, however the construction is amazingly sturdy. Could look neat with a uniform spraying rather than the current veneer...
I bought them on a flea market 3 years ago for £30 and installed gold plated banana connection plugs at the back.

They need to be collected with a car, or, if you don't have one, you need to use a bike trailer, just like I did when I bought them, but if you need to cross London, that will be quite an adventure...

£30 and you can have next bright times at your own house!
