Because it was Easter Sunday and I though I should phone home. That was the closest thing I had to a vintage jersy (I did buy it to match the bike though).
I think it looks really nice. Wonder if they do it in XXXL.

I once beat Matt in a sprint heat at Herne Hill, therefore I conclude that he is shitter than me at racing.
And believe me, I am shit!

This might explain your lacklustre start to the season. :P

I. Alex Higham (Wyndymilla)
- Ben Luckwell (Wilier/Bigmaggys)
- Sam Barker (Team Zappi's)
Illy (CS Grupetto) finished main bunch.
So, a good result for our man.
Full report will follow shortly. - Ben Luckwell (Wilier/Bigmaggys)

As clubman says, finished main bunch which I am delighted with. It didn't start off too quickly, but about 40 miles in things started to pick up and I got a bit nervous. I managed to stay in though and finished with the bunch.
The last 14 miles of the race were seven laps of a circuit with a little lump in it. I say 'little' as it is the sort of lump you wouldn't really notice if you were just out on a bike ride, but after about the 5th ascent I was wrecked and really feeling it in my legs. Guzzled a bit of water and hung on for the finish - eyeballs-out, as they say.
The course was really good though, with some great sweeping corners and some fast descents.
Now relaxing watching the track cycling with a glass of Old Peculiar (well earned, I think!)

I forgot to mention that I was absolutely dying for a piss for the last 30 miles. Quite a few others in the peloton seemed to have the same problem - but they just rolled up the left leg of their shorts and did it as we rode.. pretty amazing to watch!
A skill which I think I need to practice and perfect for next time.
