What with people doing their silly foot skidding recently? the last thing I want is to not only waste money on tyres but on expensive clown shoes just to keep doing that.

It doesn't really wear away the sole of your shoe.

If you're doing it on a Randonneur, it's softer rubber so the tyre wears away rather than the shoe.

And slower than it would skidding it on the road.

Not that I'm encouraging this sort of behaviour?!
