Handball, according to Knoesen's first rule* is not a sport.
*If you can't die as a direct result of doing it, it is not a sport.

...so Snooker then, can't imagine how you'd die from that. Hold on, just remembered [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Werbeniuk[/ame]
Poor old Billy. Yep, Snooker IS a sport after all. As long as you agree that drinking 6 pints before the game then one pint for every frame is an essential part of the game.

Handball is good to watch but **you need to understand reasonably well **what happens around the circle. It can look pretty samey if you don't. It's very high impact and players really have to take care of their joints, I think.
Very helpful Olly

Yeah I like that. Golf isn't a sport. Nor is cricket. They are past times, and pointless ones at that

But according to that reckoning, darts could be a sport which it clearly isn't.

does anyone know how the ticket system is actually going to work?
does anyone else think that a Uk citizen its a bit fucking cheeky to make us pay for a ticket? after all were the ones paying for the whole shebang.

And we're the ones who benefit from the increased tourism, the new facilities, etc..
If you want to moan about poor spending, moan about politicians scamming the expense system, moan about bankers being bailed out with tax money. Olympics is piddling.

i paid my tax, i want tickets
I WANT TICKETS!
-

Free tickets are not the issue. If you got free tickets and i didn't, I wouldn't get a tax refund. If you get tickets you should pay for them. The issue is accessibility of tickets. If the IOC gets its way, tickets will only be allocated to bankers on corporate junkets paid for by tax payer bailouts.

• #43
wish i was a banker
-
• #44
i dont mind paying for tickets, but if I've already subsidised it once, I should have first refusal on tickets
..i just realised i sound like I paid for the whole thing myself
-
• #45
what about specific tickets?? eg say brazillian womens beach volleyball
-
• #46
Except it's supposed to attract people from other countries.. if the locals get all the tickets.. no cash comes in.

Awwwww shit!!! I forgot about Beach Volleyball!!!!!!!
Is that an olympic sport?

You lowly tax payers can suck my corporate holey arse!
Fixed that for you Clive.

Sadly, Andy, the government does not feed work to hard working lawyers such as myself. I have to rely on the insurance industry.

Can I register disinterest?
You're registering a lack of bias?
.....can't understand how Tony Thatcher didn't pass round mine and discuss it.
