  • I slept, put off the hoovering and thought about death. Story of my life really.

I have been thinking about death today too... I am becoming increasingly aware of my own mortality.

    Don't let it kill you.

  • I rode from Streatham to Brixton and back, all 1.5 miles of it

  • No, I'm going for a walk, to Sainsbury's, to buy baps. Then I am going to clean my bike, have a bath, think some more about death, phone my brother, eat my dinner, make my lunch for tomorrow, read a book and then go to bed. With any luck I will never wake up again.

They have an offer on Hot Cross Buns.....

  • Don't let it kill you.

and i thought my life was shit.

  • Hilly 60 in Kent with a mate: Well Hill, Ide Hill, Toys Hill (the funny way way round!)
Brasted then burn home through Bromley.
Lovely day that got better finished with beer in the garden:-)
MrSmyth, when were you on Toys?

  • 48 miles, 35 of which were going round and round and round Herne Hill Velodrome.

  • I can't even be bothered to walk to Sainsbury's. I'm sitting here in my shoes.

  • i'm guessing about 12.30? in a group of 6 wearing grupetto jerseys. we passed only one other rider on the hill

    jealous, nice day for it

  • too right, after watching cycle speedway for a bit, from Poole to sandbanks, drink at the beach caff and back, little restful roll.

  • Lovely day for a ride.
I've been stuck in the office trying to work but there's a man
in a dress singing loudly and badly outside the door (I can't concentrate on accounts).
Come to think of it, this is how I spend every Sunday.
    Help...

Where did you watch the Speedway as a mate of mine does this in Bournemouth/Poole

Reminds me also to take my bike down there as the ride to Corfe Castle is nice.

ha, yeah I know you mentioned before I spoke to Chris Shylock today again, he was racing Swindon in their first match of the season (and kicking their arses actually)

dude, he says he dosent know anyone off here........but then it could have been a while I guess?

come down Poolemouth sometime, take the ferry over and ride to Corfe, stop in at Charlie bikemongers in Swanage, eat cream tea and fish and chips altogether throw up, catch train home-- great day out!

  • Box Hill and back, about 45-50 warm miles.

    Now I have chocolate beer.

Can life get much better than this?

There was that nice chip shop on the way out of town that I remember. Used to be a regular camper at Burnbake Campsite, lovely place.

  • Sunday is church day, the only riding I did was riding on the vicar.

    sounds perfect!

and the answer is no, why does it need to, this is the best day of our lives.ever.

  • I rode to the pub and back...

  • That is my favorite route.

  • too right, after watching cycle speedway for a bit, from Poole to sandbanks, drink at the beach caff and back, little restful roll.

edit: watched cycle speedway, said 'come on back when you're done' then buggered off before we came back. Tcha, I dunno. Some people.
The racing had got a LOT better by then.

  • aw shit, forgot about that.......beach was calling..........

  • Speedgate Cafe and back via the coldest downhill run in the world.
