And why, pray, do you not have the key to your "strange bolt", if that's not a rude question
I don't get man. If i had the key I would not be asking. It's the first time i see a bolt like that. I should have asked the previous owner when he sold it to me but I didn't notice this strange bolt.

Where did you buy your bike from Zamma? Genuine question.

I like the specialised Air tool range.
Or if you are feeling flashy a lezyne.getting back to the topic I think the spesh airtools are much nicer than the joeblow.
my mate has a lezyne and it's very nice also.

@ RPM- dremel? more violence?
Dremel the wheel!?
Nah, it's a PITA, I have to get someone to hold the crack pipe on the valve, the hole is only just big enough for that. I can't hold it myself and get someone else to do the pumping very often as non-sprinters don't have the strength to get the pump up to 160psi

anyone swap out the head on the joe blow? it is shit with 36 spokes, so need something smaller
-

Same with the Rennkompressor head - doesn't fit disc covers and the lever pin always slides out. German engineering fail.

New one or the old one Hippy?
I found the old one was a pain, but the new one is really quite good.
I've never tried to use it with disc covers mind you.

No idea. It's a big plastic head with a lever on it.

That's the new one.
My lever pin has never moved one tittle or jot- warranty it, they're not meant to do that.

Not much point since the head is too large anyway.
I need to replace it with something skinnier but don't really feel like paying 50 quid for one of those Japanese heads. -

I've got one of these, works well

^ ditto.

Wicked. Cheers

Got one of those V-Sprint heads. Did you just cut the old head off or is there a trick to getting the Rennkompressor heads off. Not tried too much force yet as I want it off intact.
-
• #67
chop it off
-
• #68
I just cut mine off, you lose an inch or so of hose but it gives you a clean and fresh bore to push the new one into. I found a bit a Superglue on the new spigot stopped the air pressure from forcing it out of the hose.

The internal diam. of the tube on this pump is tiny. Any tricks to fitting a new pump head?
-
• #72
soak the end (tube) in hot water, and get a small jubilee clip to bind it in place.
-
• #73
warm the tube in hot water, put some WD40 on the tube, and leave overnight after you get it on

In this instance, just the tip is enough, as long as it seals and doesn't get pushed out by the air pressure.
Clearly stolen goods. No-one has a bike with those nuts and doesn't have the key for it, and if they did they would know how to get the key.
Thankfully it does have a clear process. You just go to a local police station with the bike, they look it up for you and identify who should have the key.
