i didn't want to have to start arranging other trains and other parts of lists.

BMMF would be all over it then. formatting errors, stealing list functions, splitting groups. then he'd start on our grammar and we'd all be fucked....

This 08/08/2010 sportive - I checked the trains to Leatherhead. There aren't many options to get there for signing on time. I think there's a direct train from Waterloo that arrives at about 8.30am or something.

Or are people going to ride out/part-ride out/whatever?

i had not thought that far. i suppose a ride out would probably be the option.

Sunday 13th June
Meet at Waterloo 12.00 at the ticket office for groupsaver. Leaving with the 12.30 arriving at Effingham at 13.40.

Route. 50 miler, starts mild with a few lumps for warming up, a good stretch of flat, rolling, downhills, and just a couple of proper climbs....

Highlight of the day? .....Leith/Coldharbour > Ranmore.

Like usual some parts of the route will be new, so some treasure hunting/exploring might be involved.
The ride is backstopped, no one is left behind... the top guys have fun on the front and the rest laugh at the behind... we will regroup at junctions.
Weather check day before.
Pub at the end for refreshment.

Sorry, hadn't thought to look at trains from Waterloo. I'll ride to Selhurst station, which is a few miles from here, and get a direct train to Leatherhead, via Sutton. It starts from Victoria I think.

waterloo it is for those more central.

For the sportive, I can cheat and offer 1 (one!) lucky person plus bike a space in the car. but it's probably easier just to all get the train out together.
