Cheers, so I hear. About time. Though the camranger toy I bought has solved the live tweeting issue (brilliantly), so I'll probably wait until the next tax year, and just incase there are any "issues" that Nikon seem to be having with the new bodies recently.

Update on the book cover if anyone is interested, so the producer got back to me, apparently they've done this a few times now with other plays, also never paying. I told her to call their bluff, because what's the alternative? They have to pay for an image library photo, which will cost. So they must have some budget. Her response? "Oh the designer said she'd be happy for them to use her picture (the flower) for free".
ARRRGGGHHH. Thanks a bunch idiot. Now neither of us will get paid, and the giant publishers get away with it once again.
Here is is btw. Not my usual thing, but it was what they wanted for the play. It's on at the Arcola Theatre from the 15th if you are interested.

Ugh. Familiar story.
Great photo though!

Yeah, it was quite eerie. Real shame about the weather though. Rodding it down the whole time.

Seriously considering a 30 1.4 art for my 60d
Anyone got one?

Got a free day tomorrow so want to get out and take some photies.
Any ideas for locations? Thinking about finding some scrubland or something. -

Woolwich arsenal if you can get in is good for that kind of thing. I can't remember how I got in before, I was with a film crew and I think they sorted it out...

Admittedly, it was also a long time ago so they may have built all over it now.

Cool, I'll look in to it. Might just take the bike out and explore a bit.

Yeah, that neck of the woods, either side of the river. I remember getting off at Beckon DLR a few times and it being pretty bleak....

Had a bit of a cruddy day of shooting - just felt really uninspired and couldn't really find anything that interested me. The light was shit too.
Anyway, I ended up in Southwark which I really need to stop doing...
Need a project, or someone to try and copy.

Just spotted, both of those photos have those little surveying tabs in them (the small yellow square) by coincidence.
There's a project! -

There's one on my block of flats in hither green.
You're welcome.

Just been through my blog (moving from wordpress to squarespace) and part from all the good memories, what strikes me is how good my 5d mk1 was. Is. I might have to pick one up again, the colours are just nuts, so much better than anything I've used since. My x-e1 is up there, but not sure it actually is there.

Its not your imagination. The older bodies had stronger colour filter arrays which have since been weakened in order to get headline-grabbing ISOs.
The 5D mkiii has a sensitivity metamerism index (measurement of colour response) of 74 whereas the original 5D is 84.
I'd noticed the same thing going from the 450D to the 6D, the colour is different. I wouldn't say its bad but I actually still use the old body if the light permits because the files are so good.
Its more complicated than that but the CFA thing is definitely a big factor. -

Interesting. What's the difference between mk1 and mk2? Just had a google and the mk2 is not at decent money. Ish.
I accidentally took pictures every day last week so stuck them in an album: https://flic.kr/s/aHsk2nHA45
