  • He says modestly. Panning ain't easy on a compact. Good work.

  • Yep that too!
The "focus by wire" of the 35mm is shite

In manual focus you can use the aef button to trigger autofocus, then tighten it up manually using the focus-by-wire ring. Is quite quick that way, and offsets the long throw on the ring.

  • great shots spotter, ive been wanting the xpro 1 for a while now!

  • Top isn't spatr though.

Yep, that's what i do. there's another way too of setting focus brackets which reduces hunt.

  • I'd say that's perfect eaglerock, 2 seconds earlier and the man would be interfering with the barriers on the right or the left. Even though he's not dead centre, he's still centre of the shot by virtue of the sight lines caused by the environment. Really nice.

Thank you for the comment, What about some food ha :)

Correct, if that post wasn't clear enough, let me know I'll edit it.

  • ^You say that now.

  • Great, as always. Crossing one is awesome

  • Been looking through some old photos I had originally discarded, this is one from a trip around Europe last year.

  • Getting to know the X20, messing with monochrome.

  • Forgive my dumb question, but why do most of my picture uploads turn into thumbs?
Too big? Even on smaller sizes it often happens.

  • There are two ways to deal with photos on the forum.

    a) using the [I M G]...url...[/I M G] tags (removing the spaces between "IMG")
    b) attaching files using the "manage files" button when you write posts.

option (b) is used when you are uploading your own photos from your computer and the photos are displayed as thumbnails no matter what size they are.

option (a) is used to embed pictures into the post. If you want to show your own photos, I find the easiest way to do this is to upload them to a photo hosing website and then grab the url from there, however that has the disadvantage that the url may become broken at some point in the future. If you want the photo to be more permanently hosted by LFGSS then use option (b) and then once you have made your post, click on the thumbnails to get the image url from LFGSS and then edit your post to embed the photo. LFGSS also has a maximum image size for embedding so if it is too large it will be converted to a link.

  • Stuck with thumbs then, I refuse to join Yahoo! in order to participate in Flickr.
    Thank you.

  • Try dropbox. Very nice way to store and disply pictures.

  • Photos not showing?

  • Now they've been reduced to links. What am I doing wrong? Do the photos need reducing before uploading to Dropbox to display here? #ihavenoideawhatimdoing

  • Those links no not working. You got a link to the original Dropbox folder?

Dropbox might be your problem mind.

I'll have a rethink and try again later.

  • Use the public folder in dropbox.

  • ^Thanks! Try again. First three X-E2 and Kiron 28/2, last one Oly Zuiko 50/1.8. As I was saying, using old manual lenses is really good fun with mirrorless cams with liveview at your eye, 10x zoom, and focus peaking. All jpegs from camera, no pp.

  • I need some landscape inspiration.

Todd Hido is probably my favourite, but who else should I be looking at?
