  • She doesn't look impressed. You need to post that in the cat thread.

  • Canon 1000D / stock lens

  • Still having terrible problems with colour management between Photoshop (and Lightroom) CC and this Dell U2711. What looks fine in Photoshop ends up with completely different gamma when saved as a jpeg and viewed in Chrome. The only browser that seems to display it properly is IE, presumably because it doesn't colour manage. Tried all sort of settings between Windows and Photoshop, downloaded monitor profiles, still no joy. This shit does my head in.

  • I've finally got to the point where I'd like to start sharing some of my photos, having bought my first slr about a year ago, and figure here is as good a place as any. At the very least I hope I'll get some tips!

Some of my faves, all taken on a Canon 300d/kit 18-55, with various degrees of editing - I find most images come out too 'orange', even with my best efforts changing the white balance, and often look a bit lacklustre sooc.

  • One from Montreal with a Fuji XF1. Post-processed a little but I've come to the unsurprising conclusion that the screen on my work laptop is a bit toss so not sure how it actually looks. (And looking at it again it needs straightening.)

  • So, got my Sony A7R back. Turns out it's really easy to smudged/dust the glass on the sensor, but not actually scratch it. Need to learn to wet clean I guess

A random photo off my balcony ( at 25% normal image res ). No editing, in auto mode as I'm in a rush

    sunny sky

  • Having taken a very heavy fall Ben is offered water by another player.

  • I'm going to sell my GXR w/50mm and 28mm units.
Also a Ricoh soft case sc-65.
Should I part it out or sell as a kit?

  • If it's on eBay I'd split it up and make sure all auctions links to eachother

That was quick! So you didn't actually scratch it?

  • Mind the logo's.

  • Where is that? Looks like back home!

    Thanks, not listed yet.
    Will keep that in mind.

  • ^^ the NR on those is a bit distracting. did you post them yourself?

  • That second one desperately needs the yellows desaturating. I can't see owt but shoes. Other than that I like.

  • The second one, the blurred twig over the model's forehead makes him look like he's got some sort of bizarre combover going on.

  • @ Kirth, what's the lens on the A7? Does it look soft in the bottom right corner on your screen?

  • @Well, yeah so just dirt + smudges lol. Guess I really will have to learn to wet clean. Sony support was seriously good. Fedex label to send to Texas. They cleaned it and retested and sent it back Fedex. Charge ? 0.

@MrAndyJones so it's a bit soft. It's a Canon 17-40L F/4 on a metabones 3 adapter. I literially just took shots out the window in auto. I noticed on full res that there's some slight purple creeping in at extremes

    A big sandbox in Holland.

No NR at all actually, but might be due to pretty extensive pp. Original:

    You're right, a bit over-the-top-pop. Fixed. :)

  • Went back to Stratford today.

  • Good as always. Love the one with the rusty bridge.

  • Cheers man. Someone really ought to shoot a zombie film there.
