^^It sounds like a pretty good idea to me (I am a gr series fanboy though...) but think about (maybe you already have) the fact that with the crop you're still going to get the perspective effects and distortion of the 28mm lens, and personally when I wish I had a longer lens it's more often this that I'm frustrated by than the actual angle of view as such.

^^ Yeah, that is a concern to me too.
I've also thought of the GM1 with a 17 or 20 lens, or even possibly some of the smaller Pentax offerings. I'm a little leery about leaving the APS-C environment though. -

I tend to use the 50mm equivalent unit way more than the 28mm.

It would be very useful to have recorded weather stats for Winnipeg going back to 1727.

it would be nice if people when posting their own photos stated whether they have been post processed / manipulated
it is nice to know what the camera can do on it's own and what has been correctedsome images just look so unnatural would be nice to know what is real and what isn't
You going to go onto the film photography thread and ask them how many hours they spent in the darkroom? Course not. A photograph is a destination not a journey. You want camera ability, check the DxO or dpreview.com

^^ Yeah, yeah, I get you if you're saying that we don't have enough data to say that our planet is changing due to human influence.
That's fine, I believe humans are fatally flawed regardless and will destroy ourselves whether we take the planet with us or not.
I've been flushed out.
So we're all agreed then?
