^Just someone has gone out of their way to deny the middle plant sunlight, with the blinds open either side of it.

Bought a Canon G7 off the forum a couple of weeks ago, as I've been in need of a new compact for a while. Was a bit disappointed when it arrived as it's a bit of a porker, but really happy with the shots I've been getting from it.

Nice stuff there man. Glass on the G series always surprises me. Punch up the saturation on the last one a bit (imo) and you've got a winner! I'm a fan of greens since I don't see them enough.

I had tweaked the colours, but thought it looked a bit bright, it's hard working off my laptop as the display is quite dull.

Yeah, having not used the G15, I guess I can't miss what I don't know. The G7 seems to take a nice quality of photo, very clear, the macro function is handy and overall it's easy to use. Perfect for me really, just wish it was a bit more compact and had better video (haven't really tested video yet, but it's not meant to be anything special.)

Will see how it manages in the snow in Austria.(that was the downfall of my last compact, video wise, it freaked out with all the white/light)

well now you've got manual control so you can drop the iso right down

Looking good! I wouldn't worry about that. *Most * laptop screens are Non colour corrected TN panels, which give you shite colours overall. I got so mad with it I bought another screen.
It's a good camera for sure. I miss my G9, but I sacrificed size for outright speed.
Just think of it as weight lifting.
