  • well I want to give a set to the magazines so they can publish the ones they want. I'm not going to publish them all

  • Aha. I'd still cull harshly. I've been on the receiving end and getting hundreds of shots to sift through is just a chore. Make life easy for them by supplying only good images.

  • fair enough.. I've spent most of the day on and off going through them... sick of it now lol

  • Eurogamer Stick Twiddlers 2012 After party for Special Effect charity... I cut it down to 90 odd, but then got tired and fed up

Photo's by yours truly (some how I've ended up being the "official" photographer for this event)

  • Looking forward to the Daido Moriyama show at Tate Modern next week. A recent favourite, Yoyoi Kasuma, moved from the Tate to Selfridges, which is questionable but ultimately enjoyable.

  • hoops, those are some killer holiday snaps. Nicely done.

  • Fixed all the image links after I messed up my flickr stream! I'll post one or two more. You lot are probably bored now of my USA trip by now!

Few photos from my US adventure so far...

  • So now that steam is doing applications (pretty big news) I've checked out one of their photograph editing apps called CameraBag and it looks fantastic.

Anyone else tried this out? It looks like a good lightweight, laptop friendly editing program.

  • Any one here have an x pro 1? I'm considering getting one based off fondling one at an airport and seeing that it has no noise at iso 3200... My only concern Is the meagre choice of glass.

I've got one. It's great, I love it.
I got mine from SLR hut, who are annoying but cheap. I think it ended up being about 1K inc delivery for the body.

And for reference, I use the optical VF almost all the time. and now they've updated the firmware the focus speed is excellent.

  • Nice! I've heard nothing but good things regarding the new firmware and focus speed. The photos from it just look amazing, its really clever what they've done with the sensor. What made me give up on the sigma dp1 after 3 days was how slowly the thing operated. Using SLRs gets you used to a certain speedyness.

Looks pretty interesting! Would you say it's worth the money?

Yep, I had a 7D and initially when i got the xpro1 i was a little disappointed with the low light focus. but now it's pretty much just as good as the canon!

If you get one you won't regret it!

  • ^ shh. I really don't want any more reasons to try and shift my x100 for an xpro.

  • ha! I've had it for about 4 months now and i just keep getting happier with it!
If you sell your x100 a friend might be interested ;)

  • how bout we just swap ;)

  • what are X100s going for these days secondhand?

  • swap. errmmmm.......

  • what are X100s going for these days secondhand?

    It seems anywhere between 500-600.
the benefit of buying good stuff is that it holds it's value. but it's annoying when you're trying to buy secondhand.

  • So I'd still need to invest a grand to get an xpro.

I cannae see that there's a grand difference between the two.

  • no i was actually tempted to offload mine ; ) need to get a Leica film

No, there probably isn't. for me it's just the interchangeable lenses.

    mmmm.. Leica film....

  • in fact the new Leica M-E looks great. but it's still SO expensive!

  • I'm trying to figure out why I can take awesome photographs when totally hammered and in a pub... sober I suck majorly. Can't spend my life hammered so gotta work out what the difference is

  • Read somewhere about a writer that drinks 1 shot of vodka before writing, but not more. Just enough to get going, not enough to get affected.

On the other hand, Hemingway said 'Write drunk; edit sober'
