Anyone using a wifi sd card or a card reader with wifi built in or anything?
I’m thinking it’d be cool if I could get images straight from my camera to my phone but as I understand it wifi cards haven’t really seen much development since inception so the the transfer is slow as chuff and relies on outdated apps and that.
I don’t even know if it would work given that I tend to shoot raw and will my phone be able to process those files or does there need to be a conversion somewhere?

Wifi SD's are kinda dying a death, they are hard to track down at the mo and the ones you can find are a bit of pain. They all have janky software.
Ive had much better luck using a SD to lightning adapter for my iPhone. You can easily transfer RAWs and use something like Lightroom to process them.

Didn't realise there was a version of LR for the phone.

It's pretty solid as well.

I use a Toshiba Flash Air in my X100 but rarely use the WiFi. Toshiba also sold their nand storage division a while ago and WiFi cards are on life support essentially.
Tried buying more but they’re loads of money on eBay now ☹️ -

A few years back I bought an external SSD which has the ability to read & copy SD cards directly without the need of a laptop in the middle. It also features a built in Wifi and serves as a powerbank.
It was expensive as hell at the time and really only used it once on my trip to Kenya where I wanted to avoid bringing along a Macbook. The software isn't great and by my own mistake, I didn't regularly charge it any more since and now the battery is completely dead. I can only use it as an external SSD when directly connected to, again, a computer ffs.

Agreed, I use that same adapter to upload images from the SD to my iPad.

Looks incredible. The clouds whipping around the mountain top in the last one is very cool.
