Nope. They got it for free as they’re promoting our volunteer station and I probably just pissed off a bunch of professionals with my iPhone shot.

Bought myself a Leica m240 and a couple of 7artisans lenses (70mm f1.25 and 35mm f1.4) recently and have really been enjoying using them.
Think I’ll probably try and get a smaller 35mm or maybe 28mm lens as the 7 artisans is pretty bulky and makes carrying the camera on the bike a bit tricky.
Took it with me when I went camping last week…

The 40mm Summicron C is very nice on the M240. 50mm Zeiss Planar 1.4 is light and has a lot of character but starting to get expensive.
The Leica lenses from £1k up are all superb though, especially if you need true color and sharpness at the edges. The 28 2.8 is lovely on the 240.
Definitely try and find the 40mm or even the folding 50 if you want portable. Ultimately the 240 is a heavy body though. I've never found the weight or size all that portable. Plus the desire to baby it because of the value.

Yeah, realise I’m barking up the wrong tree if I want something properly portable.
The Summi and the Zeiss are surprisingly affordable. Pucker Leica lenses would be nice of course but ultimately are mostly out of budget.
I’ve just bought a Voigtlander Color Skopar 35mm pancake so will see how I get on with it.

Definitely get a 40 Summicron if you get the chance. I have put the 240 with that lens on in a big jacket pocket in the past. It's hard to find them in good condition though, usually the rubber shade and cap arrangement has issues. You can replace them with a different setup but the originals are not available.
I went a long way down the Leica rabbit hole before realising that they are brilliant for shooting at 5.6 in daylight. All the wide aperture bokeh stuff is a bit of a distraction.

I have the skopar on my M2 and it's an excellent lens, especially given its price. Super compact too, even with the hood attached. Interested to see how it performs on a digital leica body, would love to try one some day.

It came this morning and first impressions are good.
More solid aperture clicks than on the 7 artisans is nice. And it’s absolutely tiny in comparison!
Will post some shots once I’ve taken some.
