It didn't occur to me to try some astro stuff with my 28mm f/2.8 until just now.

That was in the Lake District. Cleared sky I've seen in a long time.

Lovely.

The problem for me is when I'm out in places like that I've usually been out walking or cycling during the night so by the time night rolls around I'm too knackered to get the camera out! But I should make more of an effort, I didn't do any astro stuff at all this winter.

Can’t say I’m enjoying CHDK on the tiny Ixus, but looking at a DNG against the in-camera jpg there is a big difference.

25” f8 @ iso200. I actually think it might’ve been in auto shutter. Tweaked a bit in PS on my phone.

I've seen some pretty good results on drive, with ISO 3200 and wide open. tried that too, but nada...

Got an A6000 with the horrid 16-50 kit lens. Once I can get a chance, I’ll be shopping for the 20mm pancake, but may have to settle for the 16mm due to price.

First day out with it yesterday. Seems to work okay. Wide lens is wide.

I have an A6000 an my most used lens is the 20mm well worth it in my opinion.

Stunning colours and landscapes, ace

Yea it seems a much more versatile focal length. Just a frustrating price used. Does it stay flat in use? Wondering how pancake it remains while focusing and on/off.

HK based then? Not worried about grey market, but about postal issues/loss/damage/delay. Their price is great though. Less than used prices on the auction site.

Risked a very new, very wet camera. Should have brought my gopro (and swim shorts) with me to Poland had I thought about it. Think I’ll get straight onto a 20mm once I’m back unless I find a shop in Warsaw with bargs.

Could do with cropping a bit. So damn wide. In-App resizing to 2M over wifi is a bit iffy. Loses a lot of detail.

Lots of haar last night, and I feel like some sort of nice photo should have been possible with these funky geometrical shapes. B&W? Crop some of it out? Include the surrounding buildings? Better angle? More or less grain? Photo straight from my crap old camera.
