What's this genre of photogrpahy called?
I see it a lot on instgram, and just tried to emulate it on my lunchbreak but not so sure on what it is?

Seems to be a bit of a mix there but I think I know what you mean.
Don't think it has a name yet. It seems to have derived from a few sources, namely the documentary/topographic style that Stephen Shore is credited for as well as the minimal editorial look that Kinfolk made popular. The travel/outdoorsey stuff I wouldn't know what to call other than travel/outdoorsey ;)
Nice photos though!

It's not a genre but it is a technique - finding astraction through detail.
If you enjoyed this comment and would like to donate something towards my student loan ..... ;-)
I wonder if it's all over Instagram because it's incidental photography. You just tend to snap it when you notice it with fairly spontaneously as you go about your day. You can find subjects anywhere.

These guys have popularised it quite a bit - they call it contemplative photography

The book is great, although I keep starting to work through the exercises and never finishing. Maybe that's a project for me for the spring. -

I'm pretty sure I'm going to sell my Ricoh GR. It's a great little camera but I miss interchangeable lenses and my f/1.7 pancake in particular.
I bought it in January 2015, so it's just over a year old, 1731 shutter actuations. This is the model prior to the GRII (the latest) - I think it was also known as the 'GR expert'. I believe there are few differences between it and the GRII - mainly that the GRII has built in wi-fi/NFC.
Any idea how much I should be asking for it?
I've got the box and all the original bits, if it makes any difference.

So, I bought a ridiculous F0.95 Voigtlander 10.5mm lens.
You gotta get close, real close but it's a lovely thing to use.
