  • I'd buy a new D3200 for £180 on ebay and the Nikon 40mm AF-S DX Micro.

    I do similar things (smaller, printed-things) with a Nikkor 60mm AF-D Micro.

    ^ this is nice

^ this is fucking great. Right down to the fag butts, angles, florals, grills, colour, texture. The most interesting yet! Nice one.

  • I have just picked up a x100t. It's amazing, but it's by no means pocketable (apart from large coat pockets perhaps).

The best camera is the one you have with you...

  • @Dammit the RX100 is a tad slippery but its a great little compact camera with a tone of features. I also found the camera's ergonomics a little slippery hence why I am invest a tenner for their AR-R2B grip, it a nice addition and doesn't spoil the design of the camera too much IMO

  • AskDirect sells them for a tenner if you don't mind walking down to Tottenham court road, though they currently don't have any instock till Wednesday! (first hand experience to get one too)

  • @Dammit have you considered the Ricoh Gr. I'm kinda in the same boat. but torn between the ricoh gr and x100s/t.
I have a sony a7ii for when i go out specifically for photos, but i want a camera to carry around daily

  • All images from my RX100iv

  • ..indeed well done..

  • Accessory question: Does anyone know if there is any difference (aside from the battery) with these chargers ACC-TRDCY and ACC-TRDCX? More specifically are they compactable with each other if I brought the ACC-TRDCY would it take the Sony RX100 battery?

  • Cheers man,
yea it's a good one, one with personality.
To me it looked like it had just been punched by a huge fist..
..also in a rather posh part of town which made it special somewhat.

  • That'd be a strong abstract entry for Architecture week. S'all I'm sayin' :)

  • I have just picked up a x100t. It's amazing, but it's by no means pocketable (apart from large coat pockets perhaps).

Where did you get it from Dan?

  • Heh. That other thread has really given me a kick in the ass ;)

Theyve just re-done the lobby in our office and there's some really nice angles that jump out when you walk down the stairs - might have another crack with a longer lens.

  • It's only Monday! Let's see where we are in six days.

  • Anyone got a D750? My D3 is old as fuck and I have money burning a hole in my pocket, seems like an amazing camera for the money. But haven't really heard much real world usage from folks.

  • Really tempted to sell my D3 and get a D750 instead.
Half the weight, double the pixels.. if it weren't for the shit grip of the 750 vs. the one of the D3 that's like sculpted for my very hands.

  • Yeah thats my only thing, being so use to the pro body it all feels so right. Also the D3 is ideal weight either as you have said!

  • Refurbished from fuji UK

  • Yea once you had a pro body it's hard to step down.
I'd put up with the bulk and weight as it's such a nice tool, but in the end I just need more pixels because I want to be able to make bigger prints of my pictures.

I wish there'd be SLRs with the same full size bodies, without the extreme AF capabilities and frames per second, but with more pixels..

  • Hah, Fujifilm shop is down for maintenance.
