  • Thanks man, that's much appreciated. This is just the start of her using a cup with no lid (she's 2) and she's so thrilled by it, I had to get a snap. Had the fish eye on from skating the day before and it just worked nicely with the little espresso cup.

I have to share family pictures as being a dad means I don't have time to go off on as many photography jaunts as I might like to. I do try and limit the number I share as I don't want to clog the thread, so I'm glad you like them :) Love the middle one of yours, great expression.

@Ordinata Peppa Pig and muddy puddles has a lot to answer for! Nice shot.

  • Thanks. It has been said 'The Omen' could be more appropriate. We shall see. :oP

  • Haha. Can't un-see that now.

  • since we are sharing our kids photos, here's one of my one year old (actually 14 months old). the wonder of seeing bubbles for the first time :)

  • Awesome! Really nice DOF.

  • some spam from quick trip to london

  • Second one is ace!

  • From my X-Pro1:

and a few phone snaps (OnePlus One):

  • Really really nice Spotter.

  • I like this a lot.

  • Really like this - the way shapes and colours are fielded in that image, the overall 'vibe'..
..at the same time it's 'busy' in a way that it seems to be leaning to the left and right at the same time.
I realize these are pretty hard to get right with all the lines aligning.. guess I'd make the bottom builing parallel to the frame and leave the other one askew.

  • Really like this one..

  • Strong page!

Just seen the 1DX mkii... Such gear lust.

  • @gillies and @spotter

    Nice sets.

  • Just seen the 1DX mkii... Such gear lust.

    Oh wow, impressive.

Still do not get how Canon's pro SLRs are still shaped like bricks, compared to Nikons that basically fit like a glove.

  • Awesome page. Good work.

  • My argument for using Nikon professionally was that image quality doesnt mean shit when you cant take photos easily with the camera. I can use a Nikon without being able to see it, (at the time) the same could not be said for Canon.

Also thanks for the kinds words all

  • I guess its a personal preference thing depending on the shape of your hands. I prefer Canon's ergonomics but that's just one part of the equation.

Also, they've brought back illuminated focus points and the sensor is supposedly competitive with Nikon/Sony stuff.

Anyway, doesn't matter. Will never own or need one :p

  • Substitute mac for a red one and "Dont look now" was the first thing that came to mind
    ....great shot !

  • strong last page

  • Top shots @spotter

  • Decisions like that are going to be swayed by what you want from it.

If it were editorial then probably colour - it's a strong, positive expression of character so colour seems fitting.

I usually decide if I'm shooting colour or mono before, rather than after taking a picture.

  • Ha! Mine just jumps in to the bath and shouts until one of us goes and accidentally turns on the shower.

It's amazing they've succeeded so much as a species considering they can't open tins or operate taps.
