  • I just cant believe i missed out on greeting skully.

TS - it was good seeing you. Wish i had a chance to roll with the big boys...

you didn't miss much with skully, cb

What are you two herberts on about? I was at home in bed. I think.

  • Oh, i thought that you were there and i had unfortunately missed saying hi.

If you werent there then i dont understand this https://www.lfgss.com/post1356797-734.html

  • It's a GoPro HD, squished down for vimeo. I'm impressed at how stable the footage is, it was just stuck to the front of my frame!

I'd recomend them, totally waterproof aswell when in its case. Only downside is it records 30 fps not 25.

I'll bring it along to the next rideout I get down for aswell - not sure how good it is at night though
I have the HD, gutted I didnt bring it along now. next year most certainly will. As for using it at night time ( not to much light) personally I think the camera sucks. Fantastic when there is plenty of light.

  • @ Ellis.
    Great video fella.
Just as we got directed down the wrong side of the underpass.
Even got me crossing the line - just (far right - white top)
    Happy dayz : )

see! i didn't even notice he wasn't there

  • Nice edit, And a great track... what track is that you used?

  • Its called Kanphopo by The Very Best (album's called Warm heart of Africa).

I hate it when I just want to watch a video and hear the sound, but the sound was terrible so I had an excuse! Glad you liked it

Cool, yeah there are some good clear shots of people / bikes in it! Funny at the start, nobody had a clue where we were going, just lots of shouting. Would be great to take a few of these out next time

  • thanks for the track info ellis,,, love it

  • Neg repped... Don't believe the hype, hippy, down south we roll hard and we roll fast... ;P

Nice one, have it on spotify now.

    Cheers, Robin

  • Both vids are great - the bbc one still has me giggling: "director: don't fucking pan left... ['Hiya!']Tits!...ok should be safe now...doh!.."
Working in isle of dogs today (scene of major navigation fail) bringing it all back again..

  • "It's quite quiet at the moment"

  • Hats off to the interviewee, but the contrast between his earnestness & the goons streaming past behind him is priceless

  • The BBC video made me smile, too. The flow of bikes just doesn't stop--when I first saw the stills, I thought those were it, but there really were a lot of people on this ride. Nice one, all.

  • Someone (not me) should do a head count...

  • somebody said as they were cycling along they counted blocks of ten and they said that they counted 160 and there were still more behind them. hope that helps. sorry i cant remember who it was that told me that.

  • Someone (not me) should do a head count...

I tried, it's too fucking difficult after the camera has panned right.

  • I counted about 120, but I am using my phone.

  • 140-150 over here

  • somebody said as they were cycling along they counted blocks of ten and they said that they counted 160 and there were still more behind them. hope that helps. sorry i cant remember who it was that told me that.

Yep like I said i tried to count ten riders, and then guesstimated the space occupied by 10 riders and the counted blocks of 10. (not an incredibly accurate measure I agree) but best I could do.

Edit: this was at the start as we headed off, and I was quite close to the back.

  • ...and I was quite close to the back.

and man enough to admit it.

  • and man enough to admit it.

But as can be seen from other pictures quite near the front when I finished ;)

Edit: More because every one kept getting lost, and I may have missed out bits of the course!

  • from what i gather towards the end it was more about who got over the line first than what route you took to get there...
