Having decided to bite the bullet and up my race gear to 47x14 (88" in 700C, or 90" in track money), I've now realised that shortly after the start of this Sunday's event, I have to deal with a 12.5% gradient on the A25. [/race downgraded to training ride with number]

Join one then, you divvy.
I'm sure you'd be more than welcome in either Rollapaluza CC or CS Grupetto.
But I wouldn't get much out of it, apart from maybe entering this TT.
I think you can also register with the tritalk.co.uk forum for free, and declare that as a CTT-affiliated club.
But you'd have to start attending the TNRC in this sort of thing:
That has to be a bird, surely!

-
• #6660
nah I likes steel and at the time couldn't afford titanium, but then went looking for it and got the ti track frame and so came here to find out how to build it, and the rest is history..

Passed through Effingham Junction on the train back from Guidlford earlier. I was very tempted to get off with my bike and ride Surrey's hills. Unfortunately I was sensible and am now back in the office.
-
• #6667
I passed through there twice on Sunday. It wasn't on fire.

wine gums + cashew nuts = win win
I went for a mix of jelly babies and cashews yesterday to see me cheerfully down to Brighton. My two companions were sceptical, flashing their fancy flapjacks and power bars.
My conclusion? Pure win.
I need to put some miles in my legs asap, so will hopefully pop my TNRC cherry and join as many excursions as possible. Fuelled by a sweet salty mixture of goodness.
As you were.

I mostly ride with Clif Orange Shot Blocks and Peanut Crunch bars now. I may have to swap back, just to save face.

I get by on airborne particles and my own stomach lining.

• #6673
That'll be what keeps you so trim and dreamy.

^ Perpetual motion. I wish I could be as efficient. That is why you were the Best Rider, 2010.

Wait. Hang on. Jesus doesn't use natural salty sweet nut combos anymore?
It's things like this that shake religions to the core and start revolutions.
