Still no lights. Still no TNRC for me. :(
Mike, if you have a rear light, I have a spare exposure Joystick http://www.exposurelights.com/product/000020/joystick/ with bar mount and charger, you can borrow for the dark season. Come on, own the night...

Tuesday March 16th The Widowmaker 19:09 at Waterloo http://www.gmap-pedometer.com
A 29 miler. 3 major climbs including the 18% whitedown. It's fairly familiar territory out in Surrey but actually flatter and less demanding than the 5 hills route from last year. You will need to get your gearing sorted out though.Further information regarding trains, lights, protocol will appear soon. As a rule of thumb remember that the TNRC goes out of it's way to make sure everyone can enjoy the ride but if you are unfit, shit at climbing, can't read a map, have no spare batteries or inner tubes, don't carry a banana and refuse to use a mobile phone then be prepared to ride home alone at 1.am and don't be giving anyone grief on here the next day ;)

Placeholder. Work is a bit crazy busy at the mo
But haven't been on any bike for weeks, so need to reaquaint myself.

Just how bad was the whitedown on a 70" gear?
I'm debating whether to do this ride on my fixed bike with a 69" gear or whether to bring the road bike.
-
• #61
I couldn't go very fast, but I didn't feel like anything was going to snap (body or bike). It reminded me of doing Swains Lane in a 93".
It's basically mid-weight/high-rep weight training.
