@ everyone - please try to be risible on the outbound train e.g. 8 bikes per doorway minimum. Even on the earlier 1 carriage train there are 2 doorways, which allows for 84 TNRCers and 2 randoms.
Thanks.
mudguards on.
tim, funny you should say that. i want rain and wind and bullshit tomorrow.

The man deserves a break he has been riding a lot on the weekend; and he came out on the morning of the football ride to see us off.

this was sent to me this morning from operations:
Weather Warning (across all of England): 0158hrs: The Met Office have issued an early warning for high winds, valid from 05:00hrs on Monday 13th September 2010 to 23:59hrs Tuesday 14th September, across all of England with winds in excess of 40mph across much of England, hence all regions are at risk for the rest of today and through tomorrow
now we just need to add rain ad we've got a real ride on our hands....

I'd like to do one of these rides, but I've heard they can go at quite a healthy pace. I don't have the fitness to ride any faster than 12mph on the flat, and I have to walk up anything steeper than 2%, and I prefer to get a taxi down descents that aren't straight.
I'll be near the platform if anyone's got some decent fitness I can borrow, and some bike handling skills that'll fit oversize bars. Looking forward to loosing (sic) my TNRC virginity.

It's certainly shaping up to be a good one.
Bit annoyed I am missing out due to the wife going out. Every cloud though, Spurs are on the tele tonight in the Champions League.

My back is really sore due to pissing around on a Jetski a couple of days ago.....
I'm out
....of painkillers, I'll pick up some Ibuprofen on the way to Kings Cross

Wavering at the moment, due to a strange and rather painful wrist injury*.
*yes, I know what the cure for this is.

• #4193
@bmmf: Thank you for pointing that out. Still undecided if that is alright.

you do know you can shop online and have ikea/argos deliver the stuff you need?
-
• #4196
It's a fucking metaphor. It means that I am flouncing in favour of doing something related to domesticity.
-
• #4197
ah. i see.
better to know that it's a domesticity issue rather than you jonesing for the ikea meatballs i suppose. -
• #4198
I had soem IKEA meatballs last night, made my own suace and chucked 'em on some basgetti, LUST!

Managed to build up the winter bike for today, this'll be its first proper outing. Its beautifully hideous. Didn't get time to fit the mud guards though so high winds and little to no rain would suit me well.
This'll be only my second TNRC fixed, and my only TNRC fixed on a sensible gear.

i hope this isn't a metaphor.
