^^srsly though, it'll be fine, but bring along 2 spare batteries (high capacity AA rechargeables). You may not need them if you use only the high mode whilst riding in the bunch, but if you're in turbo mode all the time, you've only got about 90mins to 2hrs runtime on 1 set of batteries.
Also, for torch users, carrying a few large elastic bands is a good backup in case your barmount fails:

@marcom - never had any issues with modern rechargeables leaking acid. They often come in a convenient plastic case, or you can bung them in a gripseal bag to keep them dry, or whatever. The usual recommendation for 2900 AAs from Vapextech still holds.
