hmmm i retract that, manny barspins and shit are fine, but a hop bar takes a lot of timing.. and probably 165mm cranks..

i dont mind 35c tbh (although the front is a 28c) i think its an ok compromise, although i may get some 40s on there..
i dont understand idiots like people on trick track saying they want 3" tyres on their 26s either, fattest tyres dont make you awesome haha

@ swedeee
gusset open prisons are the shit, i put some on my setup about 3 weeks ago now, really solid, nice flex, nice sweep, 3 inch rise, and you can run them at pretty much any length!
also, how do you find the frame rides compared with whatever you were riding before?
-

yeah man i went through 3 pairs of op's on my jump bike, very good! alu is harsh as fuck on my wrists haha they need to go asap, before i snap them and get stem to the face.
im still getting used to the frame tbh, and i cant 100% comment until i get my forks.. but it is very fucking nice, very tight and nippy and easy to chuck.. i even got a footjam whip on a bank yesterday after putting my seat down a bit! i like it a lot

What is the widest tire that can go on the charge wheels you have there?
I have the same ones, from the freestyler yea?
But I dont want them to pop off now and again like I have seen happen on some rims.. -

urmm i dunno im running 35s on both now no problem.. could prob take even more, not sure.. never had a tyre slip off them before though!

@ swedeee
nice flexwhatttttt?!?!
-
• #36
steel bars flex while aluminium bars do not, much more suited to doing tricks with suspension on bigger bikes

That happen to Dean (ononelangster), he now have a case on his wrist, right now he's running Fat Frank tyres, and said they're great for trick and comfort, 'like a big bmx tyres' I think I recall him said.

On what frame? They're biiiiig tyres! (50c?)

im pretty sure its just that i need steel bars, i ran rigids with open prisons on my union street for a while when i didnt have a job and couldnt fix my pikes

The new Gorilla Kilroy frame, look very sturdy but reasonably light (for a trick bike that is).
The Fat Frank are only around in 26" x 2.35, so just run 26" wheel and the fattest tyres possible, look like it work perfectly well on his bike.

ah he's using the 26 version, makes sense. They do a 29er version too you see
-
• #42
There's a 29er version? that might also be what he's using come to think of it, I do remember seeing the tyres just about fill in the gap of the frame.

I've finally saved enough money and I should be going down to 14 in the next week or so to order my esb. They say it takes around 4-6 weeks to build but I'll post some pics as soon as I get it :)

someone needs to review this beast good and proper! -
• #49
^^ brad emailed aidan but no reply as of yet, not too bothered atm mine is riding sweeeet! here are some photos of my most recent build... Brad now has my old blue esb and he will sell it when he gets the forks..
spline drive is the best thing ever for fixed gear with bmx cranks. still need some steel bars before i smash my face in

Yay for LHD
toe clearance is fine for hop bars.. i run 175mm cranks and its still fine, and a 28c tyre, want 35 next tho
