Brian won't be around anyways...
Where was this decision made?
-

I think the downside to having to use a sub in the first place outweighs any advantage that playing the same team twice may garner you.
-
• #29
Or the upside!
haha - sorry Matt ;)

Don't want to quibble, but Brian made it really clear that here:

that he is no longer a Zombie.

I've played against Cosmic for both Massive Cogs and for Dinosaurs, no-one was worried about me turning out for two teams.
-
• #32
You're a shit player though.
-
• #33
So's Brian.

• #34
Yeah, I think the final score was Cosmic 30, me 1.
-
• #35
Hasn't emmet also played against one team twice too?
-
• #36
I think he played Vs Cosmic for Tapout.
-
• #37
Yes I have played against cosmic twice. Played better as a sub than for my own team.
-
• #38
The disadvantage of having me as a sub was less than when playing with my own team.

So at the end of the league cosmic will have actually only played against 15.3 teams?
-
• #40
Not really - still 16 unique teams. Just not 48 unique players.

Revote!

Can we take this discussion somewhere else please. It's hypothetical anyway. Thanks.

yes keep this thread tidy dan.

We've already played you so maybe this is none of my business but this seems like a really bad idea for you Dan. You posted yesterday looking for advice about regaining movement in your thumb and saying that you're still in pain. The proposed dates are about 2 weeks away. Injuries like this take a really long time to heal properly and trying to play two days of solid games is admirable but likely to do you a lot more harm than good in the long run?
I hear ya. It's a tough call, obviously i'm keen as mustard to get playing again, and a few years back as Em suggested I would have been back on the bike in the cast etc etc. but being a bit older and bit wiser i'm not going to do anything that will compromise any future play. I just really want to finish the league!
Going to see bluerip of this forum, a physio, tomorrow so I guess i'll see what an expert has to say.
Thanks for your concern though folks hugs -

Don't bring Max into this.

I thought League Rules said you couldnt be a sub if you were a registered team player?
EDIT:
http://www.londonbikepololeague.com/rules/Under Additional Rules, #8
- Subs must be non-league players
Busted, baby..If you played for Tapout, thats against League Rules..
- Subs must be non-league players

Bing !!
Exactly what I was thinking.
-
• #49
He played for tapout before he was "hired" by cogs. As such he wasn't a league player at the time.
-
• #50
brian was hired by zombie...then again i was just hired my a womenswear store so what do I know?
Yeah, he is part of Zombie Utd.
Anyway, I don't think there is a shortage of league subs available. There are loads of new (good) players who would probably love the chance to play a couple of league games. Gormley for example?
