  • Thanks for the suggestions. The book or London based tshirt was the type of thing I was after - braai's, bigotry, rugby and WC tix are all well-known or more easily available in SA itself (especailly the latter - there is public ballot)! Might be boring and go for a Boxfresh Tshirt, The Rider ( - even my wife likes it!) or one of those beer cans where you unscrew the top and stash "things" in there.

  • why don,t you get him a cat???

  • Asian Babes?

  • paging ChainBreaker

  • Jeez, has no-one suggested world cup tickets yet?

    +1 surely the obvious thing.

  • Jezus!!!! Fuck!!! Only just swa this now! Cant believe i missed this one!

    All of you are bastards!

(on a serious note: Clothing Vouchers from a local store is awesome! Esp if you giving it to him in Pounds cause of the exchange rate it would be really cool and he could get lots)

Unlikely to be a cyclist - i wouldnt cause you would also need to be a trained ninja to survive the streets.

MrLemon - Not all south africans are loud offensive scumbags y'know (although i will conceed they are not necessarily few and far between)?

    • i think we are, just need to pick and choose which ones. Im loud and im offensive but i doubt im a scumbag.
      (Damo, hows the tan???)
"Do you guys know who i am? Do you know who my cous is?!?!?" (souff african humour)
  • A Die Antwoord album

  • no, thats offensive unless you actually like it... I think its funny but i wouldnt want it as a present...

  • Thanks ChainBreaker and others - I'm off tmw so went with something he (probably) cannot get in SA, a "Kano" Boxfresh Tshirt (I doubt he has eve heard of grime, but you never know). I think what I was really after was something a 20 year-old here would love and preferably that cannot be bought in SA.

  • Have a safe flight! Where are you going in SA?

Hehe, furry muff, although my partner is none of the above, but then im possibly cursed with rose tinted glasses when it comes to that one...

There is a forum joke where people edit your quote to make a previous post funny, I made a joke about potatoes being the currency in South Africa, I then edited your quote to say give him a voucher in potatoes as he would love that.

Neither do I, it's good fun most of the times.

If it was me I'd given him money, South Africans LOVE money, talking about money and how much/little they have of it, that and Klipdrift or Tang.
