I wondered because the bridge is near the Engineering Faculty at Cambridge. Still trying to work out how Tom got his bike on that ledge. Certainly not risking mine! Thought about cord round the saddle to lower it, but then wondered how to get it back - perhaps he will just leave it there.
Yes, I remember you! But no, I'm not in Cambridge. I just like this thread.

Ha ha , Whittle did you use a punt or clamber over the side? It's turning into a willy waving pepsi max advert of a game. I will definitely fall in if i try to emulate this feat. Incidentally that bridge has already been done earlier but from the inside.

^^ also intrigued by photo shoot behind, looks like a Ranger Quadra sitting on the floor
What is a Ranger Quadra? Too large for a camera, is it lighting?

Portable flash kit, high powered but light and small, super handy, on my long list of kit wanted.

Had another look at that bridge this morning (in a hailstorm), still too chicken to hang my bike there. Thought of doing it with a safety cord in case it slipped but decided against it. Look like it will have to be RV after all.

I'm just going to throw myself in the river, save agonising over logistics

If you jump in holding the bike between you and the camera, and we can catch you mid-air, maybe Tom will allow it. May have to do a few jumps to get the timing right.

I was 'agonising over the logistics' in the pub on Friday night and nearly pedaled out there at 1am with the vision of strapping my belt round the saddle and hanging it off the side.
I didn't, though. This may be too 'stepped up' for us lot - I've no problem climbing/scaling/sneaking etc. but when you're risking your bike... Well, that's just crazy, maaaan...

Fuck whittle, ain't no pretty boy beating me at a willy waving game of Pepsi max advert!

I guess you're at the bridge right now then fishing your bike out of the river. Just strip and regrease the BB, headset and wheel bearings and add a new chain. It will be as good as new, at least it isn't salt water!

Sorry two different bikes again, but a true hipster never rides the same bike twice in one day!

What?!in the new stepped up world of hipster tagging Im pretty sure that doesn't count! Get your climb on innanzi, summit or didn't happen....

It's 100% verified that it indeed does not count
I couldn't even get the Higginns to stay on the plinth for just a bit of elevation. Will brush up on my Photoshop skills then, at the moment I can just about crop and resize so not far to go. Perhaps some classes at BA?

Thanks for the offer A T H, I know I said I'd like to learn some photoshop but I had something else in mind like sculptures and bikes!

To be honest Inanzi's bikes are so classy I don't think they should be put in any precarious or reckless scenarios. Maybe we could split the thread into perilous and provenance

Professor Harvey Smith from the Law Faculty ('As Seen on TV University', Cambridge) states that Rule 39, Subsection 2, Para b., of Bicycle Tag Rules, 2012 clearly show that "two different bikes in one tag are equal to 25 feet of elevation".
The last tag is nothing to do with the university or colleges. About 5-600 metres from polo court as crow flies.
