tbh im not that bothered, im starting to agree with ed, i run less and less reds these days after too many close calls and learning to track stand, i enjoy the sprints between lights. That said an empty ped crossing with good visibility is just an RLJ waiting to happen

Apparently Soho's community copper "Big Jim" (?) has bike theft as a priority according to the practice manager at the Soho Square Health Centre.
haha yea he is so huge he patrols the streets by himself, all other coppers are in twos.

How do we know that cunning crims don't secretly pack the public meetings and propose priorities that occur largely in adjacent areas so the police go there instead, leaving the local area undefended.
I think there should be a long term study.

bottom of Peckham rye park, junction with East Dulwich Road this morning.

Old Bill were doing something useful this morning. Waiting at the cycle lane at the top pf Pitfield Street, opposite the Foundry. I thought they were hassling innocent cyclists. It turns out they were stopping them and asking them if they wanted to get into an HGV to learn about blindspots. There was one parked on Old Street somewhere. So thats good

Aye, quite funny this morning- lights red, traffic queuing, girl undertakes me, thumps up onto the pavement to run up the inside of the traffic and (presumably) jump the red over the ped crossing area- as I went past she was explaining herself to the two rozzers.
I chuckled.

Just by way of a heads up.
Altho I guess almost everyone going that way is already on their bike.
Vikeonabike - indeed, not a bad place to stay, appart from a crackdown on cars turning without putting their blinker on, I would not really have any idea of what priorities should be... Actually I do like the Neighbourhood team, they are rather friendly and I am a law abiding citizen (no RLJing and no cycling on pavement for me)!
