  • Not true, or do you mean specifically within your constituency? In which case I doubt it.

No *salient *differences. And a policy is only a promise, not a binding contract.

@cliveo - I thought Canonbury was an independent state, like The Vatican or something?

  • I think there are many major difference between the parties. And yeah the manefesto isn't a promise, but it's an indication of intent, explicit or otherwise.

  • I like some of your Krautrock(!) output, but don't share your optimism/gullibility.

  • Probably: http://www.liberal.org.uk/

You could try Liberal Democrat though. Welcome to the 21st century Mr Quinn. Sorry, but your local Whig candidate has had to withdraw.

And the prize goes to Wigan's favourite son!

  • I like some of your Krautrock(!) output, but don't share your optimism/gullibility.

When I say election pledges are an expression of intent, this includes the BS and non-promises which they entail. For example while the Tory manefesto reads in parts like "killing in the name of", it's still essentially the same old Tory guff.

This is present in the other parties too, but there are also clear goals set out which they show clear intent towards, I don't expect they will meet, or even attempt all of them, no government has, but it offers a reasonable means of assessment, within the wider historical context

I'm not saying I'm gonna prance to the polling station with a skip in my step, but there's still a clear choice to be made, and one choice is very bad.

  • Ideally, I'd vote Lib Dems but to be honest, I just want to keep Mr. Cameron as far away from power as possible. I'll be voting Labour.

If Labour get in, I expect a pretty major re-shuffle; their current formula is clearly less than awesome.

  • Voter power in Camberwell & Peckham

    0.009

    Can anyone beat that?

  • anyone else watching the debate?

  • Gordon done a funny!

  • he's pulling them out of the bag tonight..

  • He done another!

    cameron looks a pillow

  • glad he brought up the airbrush.

  • sad thing is, Im not convinced by any of these people. sometimes there is a glimmer of what looks like a policy, and it quickly evaporates along with the rest of the gloss and p.r.

  • At least I am not mentally ill and/or a slap-head hillbilly faux-intellectual hipster wannabe

do not project your own shortcomings onto me!

    i haz gots me hair.

  • He was talking about horatio, I think. Is there some kind of fable going on here^.

  • ah yeah. i'm definately mentally ill.

  • none of it makes any sense... at all.

no matter how many times they say the same thing, I have no idea how it relates to me as a business owner, on my wages, on anything. All I know is I'm going to get fucked over no matter how this plays out.

  • This is the worst Kraftwerk gig ever.

  • ^^ Comedy gold!

  • Nick Clegg is the only one without a balloon head.

  • Now we have a question from Bob, a Nurse who blah blah blah

"Well firstly can I say how much admiration I have for people who work in the NHS..."

Now we have a question from Sarah, a Teacher who blah blah blah

"Well firstly can I say how much admiration I have for teachers...."

  • brown does a funny thing with his bottom lip after every sentence.

    its proper pissing me off.

  • Fucking Dave with his fucking quango.
