whilst trying to find where those quotes were from i came across this document
http://www.richardcorbett.org.uk/assets/docs/briefing/theres-something-about-ukip.pdf
"25 things you didn't know when you voted for UKIP (and why you'll never vote for them again)"
all referenced to news articles. happy tynan?
No, not happy, the link you give does not attribute all of tricitybendix's quotes, and where it does it only references newspapers.
I am reasonably sure with some quote mining I can cobble together a top 10 list from both New Labour and the Conservative party - especially if we play the 'not a member but has 'strong ties'" game, more so if we can quote members that have been thrown out of the party (even if they have been thrown out for the very quote used)

Robert Kilroy-Silk, Daily Express, 25 Feb 1991 (stood as MEP for UKIP in 2004, left of his own accord)
Nigel Farage in conversation to UKIP founder Alan Sked, reported in the Daily Mail on 5 April 2006 (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-382031/Cameron-stands-UKIP-racist-jibe.html), currently UKIP MEP
Dr Richard North, former UKIP researcher, on a documentary which I can't find online but there are numerous references to on the internet, including the PDF you've already seen, sacked by Farage, don't know why but as far as I know nothing to do with racism
Lord Pearson, leader of UKIP, here's the video http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/news/578969/Lord-Pearson-of-UK-Independence-party-rants-on-YouTube-about-Muslim-breeding-rates.html
off Sean Gabb's own website where he's talking about speaking at a UKIP rally http://www.seangabb.co.uk/flcomm/flc169.htm
Kilroy-Silk again, Sunday Express, 4 May 2003
Peter Watson, former chairman of UKIP North Dorset, email incident described here http://www.stormfront.org/forum/t124143/
Godfrey Bloom, 2007, referenced here http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/jun/02/ukip-european-elections-eu, current MEP for UKIP
9 and 10 are both Kilroy-Silk again, I think Sunday Express, refd here and here but I can't find the exact dates and I need to go catch a train http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion/commentators/the-saturday-profile-robert-kilroysilk-the-selfstyled-saviour-of-britain-731102.html

No, the very fact we got a hung Parliament shows that the public have lost trust in politicians. And I don't think very many people trust them to sort it out in private. Back room talks are not democracy in action.
This isn't a defence of her at all, but he was too nicey nicey. If you're in that kind of agressive media interview it's important to let yourself be heard - he should have called her up on it and said if you'll let me speak, or similar. His message was a bit too complex and wordy as well.
But organisations like 38 degrees don't have the big media training budgets of the three main parties.

I don't think so--people may well have lost trust in politicians (still a large turnout, which to me was one of the best aspects of the election), it's just that no one party got an absolute majority (of seats). Coalition governments are a perfectly normal outcome for a democracy and it is time that people got used to that.
The voting system is of course rubbish. The Lib Dems got 23% of the vote and only got 57 seats, 8.8% of them. The Conservatives got 36.1% of the vote and 47.1% of the seats. Labour got 29% of the vote and 39.7% of seats. It just doesn't compute. (I'm not a Lib Dem partisan, by the way, I'm just pointing out the discrepancy. I'm not a great fan of democracy, either, but I'd rather that it did what it says on the tin.)
I don't think ruling parties have often had an absolute majority in terms of percentage of the vote, and it is important, I think, for that to be shown up to be the case every once in a while.

If it weren't for UKIP, the conservatives probably would have a majority of seats in the commons. If the conservatives were more overtly eurosceptic in their campaign, instead of trying to appeal to disaffected new labour voters, and had promised a referendum on the Lisbon treaty, i reckon they would have had a majority.

+1, unsavoury yes, racist, unclear.
@tricity bendix, i suggest you read all those links properly - some of those are 'alleged', some are from ex-UKIP members, some of your quotes are paraphrased and I believe somewhat taken out of context. I also googled a few of those quotes and I got nothing. half of them are also from questionable sources (stormfront, NoTW?)
-
• #1616
Heh. I don't know whether your first or second post is more amusing.
If you googled those quotes and got nothing you really need some internet lessons. Are you suggesting I made them up?
Anyway I really don't give a fuck if you think UKIP are racist or not; I am satisfied I have backed up my argument with sufficient legitimate evidence and I've convinced enough people with more open minds than you, so I'm done. Have fun counting those UKIP seats.
-
• #1617
I'm not suggesting you made them up. I'm suggesting you cherry picked your 'evidence', and you know it. Your argument that UKIP are racist was weak to begin with, and it all started from you laughing at the guy involved in a plane crash, then justify it by saying that a) it was non-life threatening and b) claiming he's racist. Guess you won't be jumping down my throat when I laugh the next time a woman gets her legs crushed by a left turning tipper lorry .. as long as she's alleged to be 'racist', who cares, fuck her - right?
I could go through those links one by one but I really can't be bothered either. I love how you tell me i'm narrow minded because I have the nerve to call you up on your 'legitimate evidence'. I see it's OK to link to Stormfront, the Mail & NoTW websites, as long as their content reinforces your argument, they constitute 'legitimate evidence'. Being anti-UKIP, =/ being pro-UKIP. Personally I try and stay broad minded about these things (for the record I voted Labour last thursday - not that changes anything i'm saying), maybe you should try doing the same.

Not necessarily, because they could also loose some votes at the same time.

From Newham and Tottenham - once they get a job.
tricitybendix, can you show me where each of the quotes comes from - and who they are attributed to.
