It almost looks like a trap... unclip the QR and it blows your hands off?

Love the pad lock, you have to admire the level of trust......or am i missing something??

Not so much how as where..
http://www.movingtargetzine.com/images/544.jpghaha, textbook! is that the cut through between wardour (i think?) and soho square?
i quite like the lock through the lock technique on that LOOK one.. raises questions about how it all came to be

lock through the lock,, how it all came to be.
its a popular spot to lock our bikes in south london.
built into the wall is a small metal loop. this was only ever useful for one person to secure their cycle. a friend who also uses the same loop donated an old d lock they had so that we could all lock our bikes in this pretty much communal area. that said, the look lock bike person is either lazy or too trusting. -

What posesses (never can spell that right?) these people to do this?

• #62
stupidity

it's when you lock the bike up perfectly with good locks and you return to bike to find key still in lock, that's when you do a face palm

Ha ha. That reminds me of this woman I saw who was walking around Spitalfields with a saddle with a mangled lock through the rails. Apparently the scrotes had trashed the lock before undoing the saddle bolt and making off with the rest of the bike.

Yep. Thats the one. That bit of paper in the front wheel was one of the many notes attached to the bike that said things like "wanker" and "why here" and "what the fuck were you thinking". I was just thinking about sliding it up and dumping it on the handrail on the left when the police showed up and said theyd had "a few complaints"..
I cant find the picture right now, but that seatpost reminds me of the fully njs beast that I once saw locked to a scaffold pole with a mini-d round the stem.

Seen that too many times. In the past I've been known to remove the stem, take a photo the now free bike leaning against a wall and then re-assemble it as the owner left it. Leaving an email address on note inviting the owner to find out why I consider them to be a cretin.

I tried to explain to some woman this evening how to not lock her bike, seeing as it was only secured by a cable lock through the spokes of the (QR, obviously) front wheel.
I think I said something along the lines of "Be more careful locking your bike, someone could undo the front wheel and walk off with it". Her reply of "I know I should be more careful, but I've got a spare front wheel at home" suggests she didn't really get it.

it sound like she had her old bike nicked that way since she mentioned she got a spare front.
Lol thats pretty dumb, though in hindsight I should be in this thread aswell:
Got to lidl in cricklewood and they only have those dumb butterfly stands, I was in a rush and didn't want to find anywhere else to park it up. I had my new york fag mini, through the butterfly rack to the front wheel, with a kryptoflex cable running from the fag to secure the frame. So retarded. (In my defence it was my cheap bike though)
