Ways not to lock your bike

Brand new bike, too. Owner will need to make another purchase very soon, by the looks of it.

We get so many of those at work you can predict what they're going to say before they get to you. Had one guy come back with a completely shafted Fuji two hours after purchase. Bike was a write off.

Don't want to meet the owner. Has a very fat arse, judging by the saddle. And poor taste, judging by the biek.

He's a scruffy looking tyke.

Do you think he'd had a bike stolen? Or were the helmet and wheel something he'd recovered?

My money says he had his bike nicked, but if that's the case then where's the lock?

My money is he had a puncture, locked the rest of the bike up and took the wheel to fix the puncture when he had more time... But obviously the idea he had his bike stolen is very amusing.

@Khornight2 tyre looks a bit inflated for a puncture?

He's fixed it and heading back.

But it's conjecture... Mine is based on often doing what I've described but never being left with just a wheel...

I guess him recovering the helmet and wheel is a possibility, not something I'd thought of. The guy looked pretty forelorn though. Don't think the puncture theory makes much sense.
