  • no foot retention

  • no brakes

  • I'm out

  • ridden by a gimp

  • Do you not still need a lock or two anyway?

I guess from the pics that the frame doesn't lock together and the wheels can still be nabbed easily.

    Fail thread>>>>>>>>>

  • There some dude who I see quite often locking his folder using a technique like the bendy bike....
Only he wraps it round a Sheffield stand so no-one else can lock to the other side.

    Pisses me off.

I haven't said anything though. I just mumble rage to my self as I wander off.

  • Via road.cc:
Hal Grades Your Locks - YouTube

I think he'd need to give some Gs or Hs if he saw this thread...

  • He's clearly just been given a primer on the words 'quid' and 'nicked'

  • So locked my bike up in shorditch for about an hour tonight, nyc fahg locking the frame to the sheffield stand, and an abus extendo-licorice-piece-of-shit-loop-lock through my brooks saddle, both wheels and the d-lock. Come back to my bike to find the cable cut, and my seat and seat post gone.

    Possible morals:

    • don't use an extendo-licorice-piece-of-shit-loop-lock, secatuers make short work of these
    • don't buy a brooks
    • don't lock your bike in shoreditch
  • Lots of brooks theft at the moment, check out other thread (search for brooks joblot). Worth getting yourself down to Brick Lane asap.

  • So had my bike stripped of anything not bolted down 2 weeks ago in shorditch as well... I'll be on foot next time I need to go there

  • Saw this the other morning. It was still there when i went past in the evening although someone had moved it

Dude. Just read this on the stolen bikes thread.

Might be worth giving the guy a ring if you aren't around Brick Lane already.

  • Saw this corker the other day:

    They make nice xmas pressies…

  • Ouch!

I never lock up to lamp posts. Mainly because my D locks don't allow it, but also because I see so many bikes attached to lamp posts lying on the floor after being knocked over. Anyway, that is some terrible parallel parking!

Ways not to park your car thread

  • Fuck, if I returned to my bike and found that had happened, regardless of whether it was a wise place to park the bike or not, the owner would be returning to a car sans wing mirrors, windscreen wipers, and air in the tyres.

  • Another GEM. Inner Temple, Wednesday afternoon. Cut brake cables and bike's gone. ROFL.

    ;)

  • But seriously, wtf?

  • yeah, you will get a ticket for having a wheel on the pavement like that, what an idiot

  • Just noticed sad keanu-esque guy in the background. Wonder if it was his car...
