  • How did he take the advice? Whenever I've tried I had abuse given to me, It could be my technique

"Oi soppy bollocks, whatcha playin at?..."

Saw this beauty in Borough. Only locked through the luggage rack ffs.

edit: I'm on a crappy work computer without any plug-ins so I'm not sure if the image above linked properly or not. I'll check it out when I get home. Apologies if it didn't work

  • ^ Surprised by that. Thorn touring bikes with decent parts like hollowtech cranks and brooks saddles cost a lot of money!

  • more than 2 grands easily, (SON hubs for example).

I think that person actually did tour, so he didn't worry about locking it up properly when he was touring, I know I didn't when I tour, hell I use a cheap £6 cable lock just to stop people taking the bike for a ride.

  • And an alarm...

  • Okay an alarm as well, but it was comfortable knowing that the only blare we hear will be from our bicycles.

  • thats quality mr pedals

  • What I like is the second, curly, cable lock, added as extra deterrent.

  • I saw him struggling with it about 50 feet away when i was at work. You can see he really tried too - 2 locks through frame and wheels

I felt bad for not saying anything - this is exactly the kind of bike that will get nicked straight away in town - but I was too busy

  • the first thing, that he can wave goodbye is the seat post + saddle

  • he

It's a girl's bike, someone would do him a favour by taking it.

  • ^^ just begging to be snipped with some paper scissors.

When will krytonite stop selling those cable things, or at least print ON the cable 'THIS IS NOT A LOCK'
I have actually overheard someone buying a bike in (gulp) evans, yes I went into an evans, big whoop wanna fight about it? ;) , and the spotty teenager suggested some accessories, one of which, a lock, a kryto d lock of some kind with the shitty liquorish'o'flex included. Spotty evans kid suggested that the cable is for 'extending' the D locks reach.
I had to with strain myself from interfering in his sale, trying to remember that we don't really have bike theft around here. /mini evans rant over

  • damn nearly bought those from planet x

    Nothing wrong with that.
You try convincing ppl to purchase and carry 2 D locks when they're only spending £400 on a bike.

  • Don't even have to buy 2, just not use them so badly!
Though I've come into contact with enough nodders to know that deep down, when it really matters, they just don't care, they have credit cards for when they fail to use their brains ;)

  • Quick release bike parking, Old Street. - YouTube

Stopped on Old Street today so locked up near the tube station, north-east side on the pavement. As I started getting my locks out my bike inexplicably started to lean over... the reason was this stand had previously been cut in two and could swing freely.

I didn't notice it on approaching because it was 'closed' without an obvious gap, so watch out. I reported it to Hackney as a fault.

  • There's one by Homerton station that's been sliced in similar fashion (although that is pretty much the last place on Earth I would lock a bike anyway). I give anything I'm thinking about locking to a good shake, as a matter of course.

    euph?

  • I like a good shake.

  • I like a good shake.

  • I like a good shake.

    So does Michael J Fox

  • I like a good shake.

    Un-FUCKING-believable...

1220kcal from fat alone?! How does anyone survive something as apocalyptic as that?..

  • There is a pub in the states that serves a 96oz burger (6lbs of meat) wtf.
