Nice one!
Albeit the composer clue was more to do with Benjamin (street) and Britton (street) both of which are adjacent...FTR I used to work in the building diagonally opposite to the old tag.

Clue linked to John Betjamen, being made up of St John St and Benjamin St nearby (although I got it from the architect's name and some Googling)
I took it from Benjamin and Britten streets... He's a composer no?

Nuts. Good job I decided to tag porter street next instead of Janet street.

Ahh my bad - I did think the betjeman was more of a poet, but put the slightly tangential link down to my own ignorance
I also finally found a semi-decent app for taking iPhone pictures in the dark - nightcap

New:
Should go quickly.
Bonus biscuit for naming its former owner. My office is just to the left of this photo, if I'd checked this thread I could have got it from my desk by aiming the camera out the window.

And how would you have got your bike into the shot? :)

You work in the basement of City Pavilion?
That's where I worked until 2007.You are a printer - your avatar gives you away - without stating the bleedin' obvious :)

Is it the "entrance" to your "house"?

You do have some lovely brickwork there Ludd.
Though not sure how you go past it twice a day (assuming on your commute back and forth) - isn't that a one-way street?
-
• #9892
You've got the road name juuuust out of picture there.
I pass that a squillion times and I've never noticed that door there. -

Rumbled!

As I wait dutifully at the lights at the north end of Sh******** Road before heading left past G*********, this "door" is clearly visible.
-
• #9895
Ought I be worried that I figured it out in part by having an idea what Ludd's commute is and in part by the road markings?

Rumbled!
Retracted!

Oh wait that's outside London....
Old: Janet Street Porter's old house in Clerkenwell. Clue linked to John Betjamen, being made up of St John St and Benjamin St nearby (although I got it from the architect's name and some Googling)
New: Not a pictorial link, but there's a strong geographical link from the neighbouring buildings
