are they still not back? where on earth is this...

The rules in post #1 say the tag should be between the north and south circular roads, and there seems to be some stretching of that boundary recently (though I don't know where this one is it sure seems pretty rural). I appreciate there is some flexibility, but where do the boundaries lie? Sorry if I missed some clarification of this in the middle of the thread.

i think someone said m25 is absolute limit.
i think 'epic' tagging should be encouraged

• #8305
The M25 has been suggested in the past...

What is the point of these 'boast tags'? This one isn't even in London, it's in Essex. Which seems like a bit of a fail to me, not to mention that it excludes quite a lot of people from playing. Anyway, as you were...

On route now. Waiting to meet KT..
^ this is ridiculous! No-one is ever excluded from playing.
Not everyone lives or works in the centre of London, and usually when a tag goes a bit further out, it's both closer to someone who doesn't usually get to tag, and also quite an interesting location. You're all just addicted and spoiled!

doesn't Essex come all the way to the north circular? I think Barking and Ilford are Essex, so hardly far. barely a stone's throw from where some of us live and work and well within London.

Ridiculous? Not everyone on the forum lives in London - following your logic, one might have permitted the tags in Paris or Germany? Why not Brentford or Billericay? Sevenoaks? These are within spitting distance of the M25. Personally I don't think it is particularly far, but given this is, supposedly, a London based thread, it would make sense to draw the line somewhere. The tags actually being in London would seem sensible.
Churches no longer count as interesting locations, and you are hardly someone who 'doesn't usually get to tag'. Or am I wrong?
meh, whatever. I shall clog the thread no longer.

Wow, it's almost as if this game wasn't free to play and voluntary, no wait...

• #8312
Well I guess everyone with an opinion contrary to yours should just jog on, then?
I'm fully aware of that, and that the game operates under rules generated by mutual consent. What is your point? I don't really take it that seriously, if this is what you are implying.

Corlis, do you realize you're the only one who complained?
Read the thread carefully from begining, it'll answer all your questions. -

I check his thread every now and then, it looks alot of fun but there's never anything I know, or If there is I can't get to it in time. Is Norwood/ Anerly out of bounds? I agree with the comment that it's good to have one a bit of a way out of london every now and then to get new people involved. I am a bit perplexed by this statement:
Churches no longer count as interesting locations
Churches are some of the oldest and most interesting buildings we have.

Much as the invititation to read 167 pages of the thread is appealing, I think I'll pass...
Ok. I rest my case. It's still in Essex though. trollface

I think the beauty of this game is that it's in your hands. Tag the old and get a new! Players have sort of let the rules evolve overtime and every now and then there is a debate on a certain tag, which isn't a bad thing because good or bad, people are talking.
Essex sounds kinda far, but if the majority of the taggers think it is OK, I guess the game roles on.
I am a stats freak, and would love to see who has done how many tags, but I also feel it may make the game less fun, and all about numbers.

Can't be arsed to read the thread (or get into the spirit of the thread), can't be arsed to go get a tag ...
We rest our cases.

Essex is east of the Lee, this side is Middlesex, London has a wall around it.

Nothing wrong with taking the piss once in a while. If you're taking the piss once a page then maybe that's a bit to much.
The messiah (MinhDinh) has it right, we are the game.

What? You're not back yet? OK...
I really enjoyed my ride out to find the new tag. OK, I didn't actually find it, but rumour has it I wasn't far off. If it was anywhere near where I went, it's only about an hour from the Bow flyover or Canary Wharf.
I'm 100% for some tags requiring people to go beyond zone 1, but then again have placed one and a half tags outside the A406 so maybe I'm biased.
You could place a tag anywhere within the M25 and as long as people can work it out I'd be willing to bet some dolla' someone will get it within a week fo' sho'.

Well that was ... 'epic' is one word, 'far' is another
Aveley Church. It's a church. In Aveley.
Another tag. In a different place.
Thanks Whatok for the navigating, lollipop, and putting up with the general lack of speed

Nice one!
And St Michaels Church Aveley is just within the M25

Right, if people are claiming that is too far, my favourite tag-to-be is out...

Goddamnit I was one town out!
It's almost become an Olympic event it itself ...
